normally i would never bet depual but they beat prov at prov and looked like a good young team . Nova is banged up and has lost to teams like prov. and rutgers , seton hall almost do they over look depaul today? The Blue Demons have just one Big East home win in the past three years, losing 26 of 27 since Feb. 12, 2008. Their last win over a ranked opponent, however, came against then-No. 17 Villanova, 84-76 on Jan. 3, 2008. Injuries that shouldn’t be overlooked
The Vancouver Canucks have some major defensive issues heading into the weekend, which includes a home date with Dallas on Saturday. Kevin Bieksa suffered a fractured foot during a win over Minnesota on Tuesday and he is expected to miss two to three weeks. Bieksa joins fellow defensemen Keith Ballard, Dan Hamhuis, Alex Edler, Andrew Alberts, and Lee Sweatt on Vancouver’s injury report. The Canucks called up Evan Oberg from the minor leagues to replace Bieksa. Currently, the second half of Vancouver’s defense (Oberg, Yann Sauve, and Chris Tanev) boasts a mere 15 total games of NHL experience.

The Ottawa Senators traded left wing Jarkko Ruutu to Anaheim on Thursday. Ruutu has just two goals and eight assists in 50 games this season, but he is the third player in the last week shipped off by general manager Bryan Murray (following forwards Mike Fisher and Chris Kelly). Needless to say, Ottawa is a team in turmoil heading into Saturday’s game at Toronto. The Senators are the second worst team in the NHL as of Friday evening, just one point ahead of bottom-feeding Edmonton.
Iowa State reserve Jordan Railey was charged on Thursday with operating a vehicle while intoxicated, but he faces no additional suspension. Railey sat out two games immediately following the January 1 incident. The 6’1’’ center is averaging 2.2 points and 1.8 rebounds in almost 10 minutes per game for the Cyclones, who host Missouri on Saturday. Railey is also tied for second on the team with 18 blocked shots.
The rest of the NBA Skills Challenge field has been announced. Joining Chris Paul will be Westbrook, Washington rookie John Wall, Chicago’s Derrick Rose, and Golden State’s Stephen Curry.
