Jazz -6.5 1st Half (-107) to win 1.25 units
Jazz laid an egg in Golden State yesterday getting outworked and missing a ton of jumpers. Look for them to take it out on the pathetic Clippers who lost despite giving a solid effort against a Nuggets team yesterday. I like Utah to jump on them early in a blowout.
Nuggets +6 (-105) to win 1 unit
The Nuggets sleep walked through yesterday's game against the Clippers because they were pumped up for tonight's rematch with the Mavs. I like getting 6 points here and the Nuggets are a proud team with Karl at the helm. Expect a dogfight in this match with it coming down to the wire. Plus the Mavs are not the greatest team at covering larger spreads at home.
Heat -5.5 1st Quarter (-115) to win 0.75 units
The Heat should destroy the Nets from the get-go to overcome yesterday's tight loss to the Hornets. Taking 1st quarter for smaller spread to cover and so I don't get backdoored at the end of the game.
Bobcats +6.5 (-101) to win 0.5 units
Many signs favour the Bobcats here. The Magic are surely looking ahead to beating Atlanta and will not have it easy with Jameer Nelson out. The Bobcats are a feisty team at home and will put forth a strong effort against the Magic who swept them in the 1st round last year. There is also reverse line movement in favour of the Bobcats so I'm gonna give em a go here.
Cavaliers +4.5 (-107) to win 0.5 units
4.5 points is way too many for the Wizards here. I took the Cavs yesterday and like them here again today. Cavs have a better team and with Antwain Jamison returning I expect him to put forth a solid effort. The Cavs should cover against a Wizards team who were lucky to beat the Sixers at home earlier this week. The Wizards will be a decent team when Wall, Arenas, and Hinrich learn to co-exist with each other's styles of play, but they don't cover here IMO.
Grizzlies ML 1st Half (+149) to win 0.35 units
Gonna take a small punt with the Grizzlies at these odds. Sure they had a deflating loss to the Suns last night but I think they will play well in the 1st Half against a Kings team who will come out flat with 3 days off. It will be hard for the Kings to get up for this game after playing the Lakers. I will gladly take the Grizz at these odds for the 1st Half before their legs die out in the 2nd Half.
Hornets ML (+139) to win 0.35 units
Sure the Hornets may be due for a letdown after last night and sure the line is begging for money on the Hornets but I'm still gonna go with them here. The line against the Rockets was also begging for Hornets action but they won. The Bucks put in alot of effort to come back and beat the Pacers last night so I don't think they will enough in a revenge game to beat the Hornets at home. Gonna ride the hot team in a small play at these odds and will hopefully get a split between them or the Grizz for some plus underdog money.
