Alright, I am going to make my own thread of NBA plays in this column. It will be easier to track my progress/regress that way.

For today I have a few 1 unit plays. Let me see how things work before I make larger plays. Feel free to tail/fade me. As usual, may the force be with us.

Plays:

Portland +1
Portland/Chi U189

Chicago made a huge comeback against the Pistons as Detroit went cold in the last quarter. But I do not expect the Blazers to go down the same road as the Pistons. Both the teams are playing good defense and have held their opposition to around 40% shooting. I expect that trend to continue today as well.

Sac -4.5
Sac/Raptors O 207

After a good road trip the Kings are playing their first home game. I expect them to win and to score a lot of points. Their weakness is their lack of defense, and hence the over.

Added Play:

Clippers +8.5.

I know that the Clippers have lost 24 of their last 25 meetings with the Spurs. They have not been doing anything extravagant this season to make us believe otherwise as well. But I have been waiting the entire day for the line to drop and now that it is at +8.5, I think Clippers can be a play here. The Spurs have not been playing well on defense allowing over 50% FG attempts thus far. I predict the Clippers to hang a little close this time around against the Spurs.

A not so good day yesterday. Hoping for a better day today. These are the plays I have at the moment, all 1 unit plays.

2 units: Memphis -5.

Memphis are well rested and playing at home after a long and arduous road trip. Zach Randolph is back and I expect both Randolph and Gasol to dominate the board against a Suns team who are playing back to back.

I have the same exact card. I wrote a simple computer program that spit those two out. Any reasons for your plays? I'm new to capping the NBA, and interested in how you got to the same picks.
