Watched the Nuggets murk the Jazz last night and a couple of things stood out. AK looks slow...3-4 steps too slow. Jefferson has the been-on-a sh*tty-team-for-too-long syndrome and it's going to be some time before he learns how to play quality team basketball, especially under Sloan's system. Still hard to get a feel for the Jazz as the foul situation made the Jazz have to rely on their bench for large chunks of the game. On the other side, I know Nash is old, but he still has the ability to make defenses collapse and he has the option of getting a high percentage shot or kicking it out to his teammates, who are eager to launch the long ball. The Suns are going to spread the court and run pick rolls using a suns player who is being guarded by one of the Jazz's neanderthals. Maybe the Jazz shake off the rust tonight and I think they'll notch their first win, but I think it's going to be within 7.5 pts (current spread at 5dimes).

That's why I'm a fan of the Jazz 1Q play because I think they come out faster tonight being at home and feeding off the crowd. This will last until at least the half and anything can happen in the 2H so I'd prefer to be out of the game by then.
Also I'm going to start to pay attention to how young/old teams finish off the 4Q in b2b games, i.e the Celtics last night. They looked like poop when they played like champions the night before. I'm curious how Utah will look tonight because they are on a b2b and have some young and old so it's kind of a toss-up but I'll still be paying attention to see if there's money to be made on certain teams.
