LAKER_CRAZY'S NBA MONDAY PLAYS FOR 11/11/2013

( 2 UNIT PLAYS)

1) Atlanta Hawks Vs Charlotte Bobcats ( Pick Atlanta Hawks -2.5 @ -110) : I am going to be rolling with the Hawks here to cover the spread.Have been following this play before eventually deciding to go ahead with it. A very telling aspect in this match up is that whenever the bobcats have played the hawks over the previous two seasons they have lost each and every one of those meetings and most of them have ended in blowout fashion.Charlotte is coming off a loss against the knicks on Friday and things are not going to be getting any easier for them tonight against the hawks.Their energy level has been lacking as well as the intensity on court and i find it tough to see any way that they can motivate themselves to come out all charged up against a team with whom they have had no success whatsoever since a couple of years.They have dropped 8 straight meetings against the hawks ,and Atlanta's margin during that victory stretch has been an impressive 16.3 points. The cats are expected to have Jefferson back in the starting line up today but i do not see him being such a great factor so as to influence the end result in this game. The hawks are (1-3) on the road so far as this season,however two of their losses have been very close and just been decided by a couple of points.I think atlanta would grab this opportunity and raise their level of basketball tonight and get a comfortable away win.I am backing the better team in almost all aspects to take this one.Playing the hawks on the spread with 2 units. 2) Detroit Pistons Vs Portland Trail Blazers ( Pick Portland Trail Blazers Team Totals OVER 101 @ -115) : This is going to be my 2nd play for the night and i am rolling with the blazers to go over the set line for them. Alridge and lillard have been dominant for the blazers thus far on the offensive end and have been shooting the ball very well,not only these two players but even others including wesley matthews have been raising their game and scoring points. The Pistons are going to have their hands full when they go to portland to avoid their 6th consecutive loss against them.Matthews will be a 3 point threat throught out the game,i think the pistons are going to have thier hands full against alridge and lillard as well and i do not see the defense from the pistons being anywhere close to stopping these people.I expect to see portland dominate inside today and take those open looks and knock them down. I believe they will go OVER the set line and i am playing it with 2 units. Good Luck.

Indeed mate,i have been betting the nba for 8 years now and i can safely say that i have had 7 winning seasons and the one that i did not have such a good experience was a good learning curve on what i shouldn't do and i have evolved ever since,you have known me for a few years yourself and hopefully made a lot of money from the picks,i have always just done whatever i can for the people,taken the kind words and the flak at times in the same stead and shall continue to,having said that,yes i am enjoying what i am doing and hopefully that will continue to rub on how i play,Good Luck mate

LAKER_CRAZY'S JOURNEY AS A SUCCESSFUL SPORTS HANDICAPPER

I do not have a specific way to begin here but i really did want that i share this with all of you after being here and posting on the SBR forum for the 5th year running. My Journey as a sports gambler started when i went to London for my further studies in 2004,yes i am just a 28 year old now dealing with the ups & downs of life and meeting challenges heads up each day in the best possible way )..I was introduced to sports betting through Bet365,that i solely joined to bet on cricket matches as i had good knowledge of the sport and i considered it as a source of side income like all other gamblers and of course seeking the thrill that always fascinated me. I made decent profit and carried on studying at the same time.

I always had Love for the NBA,but was clueless as to betting it back then and it took me a good year to actually understand how the betting functioned,the point spreads,the totals and the other props and slowly but surely i started getting the hang of it. Totals,as you all must be aware by now always fascinated me and i had my own method of calculating and betting based on that. I bet on the NBA for 3 years straight and although i made some loss in the first year,i can stick my neck out and say that it was my only losing year,the first one and since then this is my 8th year capping the sport and i have always made money and a few of you might vouch for the same. I was introduced to the sbr forum through someone,just to check it out as i had heard good things about the forum and that people shared their plays here. I had made decent money for 3 years betting the NBA and i just thought that now that i am a part of a forum,i should contribute in whatever way i could and that prompted me to start the thread,its been years and i still i feel like a kid every year when i come here and post my plays. Last year,due to family issues and work i could not devote much time to sharing the plays but before that for a few years i posted almost regularly and made decent money and people tailing me alongside ( some have been with me for the full duration of 4-5 years now) stand as a reason for my being here still.

Like everyone,i experienced my highs and lows here on sbr,from people waiting up to just see and bet my plays to losing days where pretty much i had haters troll my thread and say bullshit because they were not capable of making any plays themselves,and a few of them who probably tailed me on a losing night and started saying shit if the plays were on the losing end,but on the whole there were the majority who always stood by my side throughout and followed what i had maintained. "IF you tail any capper,on any sport,make sure that you follow them from day 1 till the end and be careful of their unit size and bankroll and bet accordingly"..I have tried to do my best for the forum,but the major hindrance that i face is the time zone i am in for when the games begin,it is 5 am in my country and sometimes i do not get time to cap and post plays and i really do out believe in coin flips,so i need to do my research and when i am fully satisfied only then will i post for the forum. Anyhow,it has been 7 successful years to be precise and i am still learning,hoping i can contribute in the best possible manner till whenever possible.

Thoughts to keep in mind for the newbies to follow now.

POINTS TO NOTE FOR NEWBIES BETTING THE NBA

1) The first and foremost point to anyone who is venturing into sports betting,and wants to sustain in the long run and make money is managing your bankroll. Anyone who has made decent money in sports gambling has always avoided giving into temptations completely and betting according to a specific method. If you are new and are thinking of betting for the entire season,please keep in mind that the season is very long and if you stick to a good management system,you will eventually make money in The NBA,and in sports betting.Please remember that you cannot break the bank in a day,but you can slowly and steadily withdraw the funds. If your bankroll is $ 1000 for the entire season,do not bet more than 5% of it on a single play,i say 5% because if you are following a good handicapper then chances are that you will be in the black when the season ends,but sticking to a good bankroll management is a key aspect of being successful.

2) Be Careful of who you choose to follow. If you do not have much knowledge of the sport and want to bet it,please see to it that you have a legitimate person with a proven record who you are going to follow. I have never been against the word 'Tout' or people who charge for their plays,although i personally have never,it is for them to know what they are worth and if they are winning and you are winning,there is absolutely no harm in paying them a % for their hard work but then again credentials should be verified and only if you find them trust worthy should you take their packages or whatever they have to offer. Even otherwise,there are good cappers who just love the sport and post plays,have an eye for them and follow them and be careful from those handicappers who vary their unit sizes to win bets after a few losses,for they are chasing themselves,what winners would they give you?

3) Never chase Losses : This is one of the most important aspects of betting in the NBA and in sports in general and if you happen to bet on a sports book that offers live odds in play,you have to be doubly careful.It is very easy to be swayed away and chase losses.Believe you me,in 8 years of betting basketball,I have NEVER and i mean EVER chased a single bet. My thread stands as my proof of betting and have a look at it completely and show me ONE play where i have posted a play and chased it if i found that it was lagging behind after halftime.May be that is why i have made money.It is very easy to find the odds enticing and if you see the line dropping from where you have placed a bet,you can get carried away and start chasing losses,remember you are not going to fool anyone doing that but yourself. If you are tailing someone,and bet what he posts,just place the bet one time and forget about the game.DO Not chase,for no matter how good a handicapper you follow,once you chase,you become an automatic money magnet for the books.

4) Understand the Sport : You might be fine just following somebody and placing money on their knowledge,fair enough,but it is very important for you to learn and understand the sport yourself. For example if you are betting totals mostly,you should be aware what it takes for the bookmakers to set a line,player injuries,their form,back to back meetings,travel,role of refs,everything comes into play. In the free time you have go through a couple of websites and find whatever information you can get on helping you to understand the sport better.

5) Have Patience : I have noticed it many times that in the long season people run out of patience very soon and especially if the are tailing a particular handicapper.There might be days when they do not post plays for whatever reasons,if you are following them,try not to look for action on that particular day and risk making blunders that would harm your bankroll. Spend time with your family,go out and enjoy a few drinks with friends,watch that favorite movie on the rack,play a sport you love,take a woman on a date,there is so much.Life does not start and end with betting and the sooner you realize this,the better you would be.

6) Bad Beats are a part sports betting : Be aware that there might be days when you would be on the right side of a play and some days where a winner goes down the drain because it goes into over time. Do not rejoice when you win a bet that way and do not cry if you lose it for they will eventually even out in the end. I have had numerous bad beats in my entire duration as a sports handicapper and sometimes i would scratch my head and feel what better could i have done to cap the game the way i did,but remember at the end it is gambling and one can never control the outcome,so the day you have such a bad beat,relax take it in your stride and move on to the next day.

7) Appreciate : This is very basic actually and does not need any explaining as such.If you are following somebody who put in hard work to help you,taking out a minute and saying thank you is not going to hurt or alter your ego,the more you are thankful for,the more you will attract and achieve,basic principle of life.

8) Lastly enjoy what you do : If you are betting basketball,make sure you enjoy watching the sport,after all we need the thrill and the excitement to keep things going,place a bet,open that chilled beer,sit back and watch it,sometimes it can be the most relaxing and rewarding experience. Enjoy it.

LAKER_CRAZY'S NBA TUESDAY PLAYS FOR ( 12/11/2013)

( 2 UNIT PLAYS)

1) Miami Heat Vs Milwaukee Bucks ( Pick Game Totals UNDER 196.5 @ -110) : I am going to be rolling with the UNDER in this game after giving it much thought.The Short handed Milwaukee Bucks would be taking on The heat in Miami.One Look at how the handicap is set here and given most of the bucks players out with injuries,i really do see a blowout in Miami and that would favor the under by all means.Miami is coming off a tough loss to the Boston on Saturday and would want to talk business against the bucks and would tighten up their defense after giving up 111 to the Celtics the other day.I see the Heat shutting down the Bucks and even if they put up a 100 points themselves,i somehow do not think the Bucks have enough offensive fire in their tank to chalk out 90 points,it really does seem a tall order indeed.Add to that James has not been feeling too good with a bad back and this could be a clear case of the heat taking a nice lead and resting up their starters.A close look at the stats says that the Heat allows 99 PPG at home and the Bucks Allow 94 PPG On the road,But i somehow fail to see the bucks get anywhere close to what heat allows at home,so even if heat were to score more than what the bucks allow,this bet should still cash. As long as the heat don't shoot lights out,i assume that this game would stay under the total.I am playing the under here with 2 Units,Good luck

2) Dallas Mavericks Vs Washington Wizards ( Pick Dallas Mavericks Team Totals OVER 106 @ -115) : This is another play that i quite like for tonight,even though i had thought I'd keep it to two plays but something suggested that this was not a good one to pass for me and i would be playing this as well. The Mavericks are in a perfect spot at home to rake up points against the wizards who are coming off an OT game against the thunder.Even though the mavericks have not been as effective on the road,at home they are putting up an average of 117 PG and With Ellis and Nowitzki shooting rather well. What also goes against the wizards is that Ellis averages nearly 26 PPG against the wizards in the last 9 meetings against them and Nowitzki is average Over 25 PPG against them as well and that does not look good for the wizards. The wizards are allowing nearly 104 PPG on the road and i believe the Line is set just right for the mavericks to put up 110 here again.Dallas also edges out the wizards in free throw shooting percentage as being one of the best in the league at 83%. Expect a dominant performance from the home team and no let up in intensity of playing up tempo ball,the mavericks should go OVER the set line here. I am playing this with 2 units as well.Good Luck.

3) LA Lakers Vs NO Pelicans ( Pick Game Totals UNDER 200 @ -110) : I am again going to be rolling with an UNDER here in this match up. Been studying this game and nothing suggests to me that this game has the potential to reach anywhere close to the set line.The Lakers are coming off a rather embarrassing loss to the Wolves where they were blown out and the same thing happened to them against the pelicans a few days before this.Their Coach Mike D'Antoni has stressed on the fact that there was no defensive intensity in their game over the past few games and that simply has to change.The Lakers would definitely put more emphasis on defense against the pelicans tonight and you can expect the pelicans also to take their time and using the clock.I just do not see these two sides totally 50 points per quarter,i mean it really does not make any sense to me.Even a few days back when these two teams met,we saw a high scoring 1st half and then a complete downer in the 2nd so i would never count this bet out at any stage. A few telling stats indicate here that the last six games between these two teams have averaged a mere 186.The Lakers are indeed a better team at home but i somehow do not see them surging on offense here tonight,with nash out due to injuries,i think they would have to rely on gasol a lot to see the job done on the offensive end and i just about see a game which would probably end up below the set line again.I am playing this with 2 units as well.Good Luck
