Boston makes a statement. They are still the team to beat in the East.

Only angle i see where celtics have troubles here is through their aging roster...Might take some time to get back into the swing of things (esp at beginning of a long season...)

no don't believe either team will dominate but i think if Wade is completely healthy I can't see the Heat losing this game as both Wade and Lebron were taken out by this team last year. Lets not forget though how Wade single handedly dismantled the Celtics in game 4, although that was at home.

Matchups will be key here and i'll be interested to see the Celtics defensive strategy because if there is one team in the league that can defend the heat effectively it is the Celtics.

Delonte West is in the building I think is the most overlooked factor in handicapping the game, should provided the Heat a big edge.

I don't think this game means a thing, a long year they have to get used to playing with each other. We will see at the end of the year if this experiment works. Basketball is still a team game? With that said I like Boston in this spot.

not if he pulls out Gloria James panties!!! It is going to be a killer game but who the hell stops Shaq everytime that rondo blows past his defender and passes to Shaq right under the basket?

Problem here will be the Refs, Wade and Lebron get almost every call when they have the ball. The celtics will definately outplay the Heat, depends how many FREE THROWS the REFS let Miami shoot to keep em in the game. Celtics should win this game by 5 points, actually im calling a 98-93 game! Celtics win as the heat shoot 35 free throws compared to Bostons 17.

Are you crazy? These guys have barely played together; it takes time to become a great team. Celtics are loaded as well, but the difference is they are already a T-E-A-M, the core's been together a long time now.

As of now this looks like the LEAST bettable of three games Tuesday, although gun to my head, I'd say BOSTON is the team that males the statement at home, as they are a proud team that is probably sick and tired of hearing about nothing but the Heat already being crowned East Champs the whole off-season.

The line movement also looks like a positive sign for the Celtics, as they are a potential RLM play.

Neither team will be out to make any statement. This is only one of several regular season games for both teams. If this was a playoff game, I'd take Boston 1H and Under 189. But I think both teams will play a "regular" game in which either side could win. My personal leans are:

Heat ML (I expect the Celtics to lose the 4Q as they often do)
Over 189 (This game won't feature as much defense as many people think)

I like Boston 1st quarter and 1st half. They'll come out strong but the Heat will probably take the 2nd half and take the lead with a close one in the end. This is the NBA where soap opera/drama happens. The script has already been written.

Celtics are better this year. Garnett and Pierce are physically much better.
watch them it's obvious. I've seen every preseason game.
Rondo and Shaq have some great chemistry also.

Wade missed preseason is not 100% physically or mentally
just crawled out of divorce court today and custody battle

Miami is not prepared to face this Boston team

If the fix is in the Heat win for certain, NBA needs the Heat to be immortal so they have a story. If the Heat start out losing Stern will get grouchy which we cannot have cause then when is interviewed he is the smartert man alive and everyone else on earth is retarded.

                                                          Right on, bro. Go celts!

under is the best play. Both teams are very good defensively and have some injuries to key scorers like Mike miller, Wade hasnt been working out much, I also heard that C's are missing some players
