I'm on the under and leaning Boston. Waiting to hear Wade's situation.

Wade is fully healthy and will be playing. This has been known for days.

I think we have been hearing this for days, not that is has been known. What we "know" is today was Wade's first full practice and he's still getting treatment. He seemed okay after practice, indicating he felt great and needs to work on strength and conditioning. I'd prefer to wait until my mind is made up, rather than hear the hype.

And, yes, -1 is an interesting/appealing line for joe.

Wade would have been playing 2 weeks ago if this were the regular season and not preseason. He's been going through non-contact drills for a while now and his conditioning his been intense for at least the last 10 days or so. You can find videos of him working out this week on YouTube if you need further assurance.

Boston is just too old, and Shaq makes them even older. What's their superpower, bitching about the officiating?

it is the first game and age has zero to do with it here (during the season it will matter off and on). i am not sure how you are not taking the celtics here, and wade will play for certain. the fans here are treating this as a playoff game. the heat will need weeks to gel completely, the celtics are ready. celtics win the home opener.

I think the Celtics will play hard like they did during the playoffs last year. It might be the last time they play that hard until April though

If they have opposite favorites, then if they offer moneylines, take both + moneylines heavy, guaranteed winner. Most don't offer ML though just -110 spreads.

early in the season always look under. the celtics will play slow and use their interior game against miami. they cannot run with miami so they will not try. anything can happen but under 190 here is pretty solid. winner may get to 90ish

Celtics are gone beat the Heat by double digits. I don't think the Heat are ready on defense or offense from a chemistry standpoint to beat a Celtics team that's been a well oiled machine for the last 3 years.

Seems to be a difficult game for opening night ... Will most likely ignore it unless something drastic happens .. Miami has not had the experience of playing together and have lost a role
Player who they had slotted in as a vital member ... Could take a little bit of time to get accustomed to each other ... Don't really have a lean though
