    Nba opening night value plays
I like the Under in the Boston and Miami game, Defense will be a focal point here. Grab it at 192 before it goes down. I expect this number to be closer to 189 by game time. Also see a lot of value on Boston at home. Boston starts off the season strong, and the young trio of superstars is not in the same class as this Boston team at the moment.

Portland is a very good and deep team, it will be curious to see who steps up to fill in for the large amount of points and rebounds vacated by Amare. I would grab Portland at -7.5.

I think Houston and Lakers will be a defensive battle. I like this deep Lakers team, at this moment leaning toward laying the 8, they are very deep and their bench will be fully capable of extending leads against Houston.

Boston vs Miami game total looks good for in-play also. I'm expecting a high scoring 1st quarter but momentum will go down through 3rd. I may pick Under (if odds are good) at the end of 1st quarter.

Here we are, the morning of opening day in the NBA. At the moment, the Heat and Celtics are at a Pickem. The Celtics are reloaded with a deep roster and I expect Shaq to fit in easily, joining a starting 5 that will all eventually be in the NBA Hall of Fame. Look to bet Miami games Under early in the season as their defense will be strong while the offense meshes together. I'm going to lock in Boston for 2Units. I still like the under at 189.5, but most likely I will pass on it.

The other game tonight will be a very different Phoenix Suns team at a strong Portland team. With Brandon Roy coming into the season healthy, and the addition of Wesley Matthews, Portland is looking to get past the first round of the playoffs this season. Intersting thing I noticed...this preseason the Suns have scored 100 or more (exactly 100 twice) only 3 times out of 8 games, all loses. Last preseason, the Suns scored OVER 100 in 6 out of 8 games (one took overtime). I will take Portland for 1 Unit.

The second game of the double-header will be the Lakers hosting the Houston Rockets. This may be the deepest Lakers team out of their last 3 NBA Finals appearances. Steve Blake will bring a lot more consistency to the bench, and Matt Barnes will bring effort every night as well. The Rockets have a young bench, and they will be inconsistent through the season. This is a tough game to call, I will most likely lock in the Under. I think it should be somewhere close to 194. I also do like the Lakers here, there are a lot of people backing Houston, and the line has been driven down. I think the Laker's deep bench will be dominant in this game.

        2U Boston PK
        1U Portland -7.5
        1U Hou/LA Under 195.5

        LA -7
        Pho/Por Under 201
        Mia/Bos Under 189.5
        Por -7.5
        Hou/LA Under 196

            I just locked in:
            BOS +1.5
            BOS/MIA UNDER 189
            PORT -7.5
            LA / HOU UNDER 196

And a small parlay on these plays as well.

I think most people are backing the Rockets. Thats what drove the line down to 6.5, and I can see why people would back Houston, with Yao back, and the Lakers looking horrible in the preseason. The last thing people saw was the Lakers barely getting by the Warriors on ESPN, public perception thinks LA will come out slow. I still love the Under, with both teams playing games overseas, they should be sharp on the defensive end. I loved it at 197, but 194.5, I'm still taking it tho. Goodluck to all.
