I might be looking at this wrong, but I think what Arenas did was ok. I mean lying to the team and management is a no no, but the reasoning he did it seems pretty cool to me. We all don't know what is going on behind closed doors, but maybe Arenas knew something we don't. We all have have dreams of superstardom and we all know that at any given time that can be taken away from us in the blink of an eye. Maybe the player that he gave his spot to was about to be cut, or Arenas or someone within the organization kinda felt this player had what it takes to be a player but not that good enough to be a starter. What I am basically saying is maybe Arenas let this player have his one shat at glory, his one shat at being a starter. Afterall this is preseason, and not the regular season.
