I still don't understand why Memphis did this trade....Are they hoping they can get a good pick the next 2 years at the 20+ pick?

Their record wasnt exactly great with Pau, so they felt it was time to make major changes. If they get an incredible first round pick in years to come, everyone will talk about "WOW, that was such an incredible move Memphis made". It just matters what the team feels. They tried Mike Miller and Swift for Kwame etc, but it didn't work out. According to the Grizz, they tried many things and this was the best. Time will tell, time will tell.
