i believe the 2nd best team in the league is the Thunder. I didnt want it to fly that way(like if i was wanting you to bet the field) but i actually beleive the heat make the finals so that would be a bad wager for me.

Thats what they said when i said Cleveland wouldn't make the finals the past 2 years and when i said Orlando would make the finals 2 years ago in preseason. This year i told everyone at eog that Cleveland wouldn't get past Boston and that was in preseason as well. The thunder will win 55-57 games this year and they are one of 2 teams that match up very well with the Lakers. Unlike the Heat whoz roster plays so small id be surprised if they can get passed the Celtics.

Thunder matches up well on the PG like we saw on last year's playoffs. but now with artest AND barnes, durant won't be able to score so much. lakers still have the edge at the paint.

This year bench depth will play the biggest part in who goes to the finals .Miami will draw huge chalk everyother game fade aginst premier teams.

With the lines inflated in Heat games, I will be looking for spots to play against them. The other teams will be focused against this three headed monster.

I don't see any way the Heat don't score at will... Bosh, Wade, and LeBron are 3 of the most 4 efficient scorers in the league; with their usage rates all dropping their efficiencies will only climb. A lot does depend on the other shooters spreading the defense, but even without that if the big three can spread themselves well enough they'll always be able to get one of them in a one-on-one matchup: that spells disaster for the opposing D.

That being said, I agree their lines will be inflated throughout the year.

If the -10.5 bet already to -11 on the Heat's first preseason game (vs. Pistons) is an indication, Heat will have historically unprecedented lines because in preseason games when one team announces that they'll just be playing their D-Leaguers and the other team puts in all their guys they still only make the line -7.
