I hope you don't mind LT but I'm out of town at a basketball tourney and first game is early. Here goes:

Raptors -3 Raptors have been playing great, if they are firing they are a better offensive team than Philly. Lay the points

Portland +4.5 I've been tailing portland lots during the latest streak and lost only one. I'm getting points here so love the play. I feel that these teams are even, give a few points since it's a Magic home game but the spread is too large.

Listen up, basketball experts. Starting Wednesday (Jan 2) we will commence with a Hoops Parlay Contest with the monthly grand prize a 22” widescreen LCD monitor. The rules are simple:

1. Check in the NBA BASKETBALL HANDICAPPING FORUM each day for the daily thread to be posted by LT Profits. Lines will be posted by 11:00 a.m. (ET) each day. Plays may be posted before that, but the official posted lines will be used for grading.

2. Posted spreads and totals are the only eligible plays for grading. Both NBA and NCAA games included.

3. Two-game parlay picks, laying 10 to win 26. Post entire parlay at same time, no open parlays.

4. Here’s the catch: Your play must include a write-up, doesn’t have to be long, just a sentence or two about why you’re making your play. Here’s a THREAD from last year’s contest to be used for an example.

5. And here’s the fine print:

• Must be 18 years of age or older to participate.
  
• One entry per household and IP address.
  
• Must use lines posted in daily thread by LT Profits
  
• Maximum one parlay pick per day, minimum 15 parlay plays needed to be eligible for monthly prize.
  
• Tiebreaker - Win % of individual parlay legs. If still tied, combatants will carry on a head-to-head parlay match until winner determined.
  
• All decisions made by SBR with regards to this contest are final.
  
• SBR employees eligible to participate but are not eligible to win the monthly prize.

Detroit is 1-7 ATS in their last eight games. This will be their second road game in a row. Illinois-Chicago is a decent home team. U of D will play tough in the first half, but I see a second half collapse and a Illinois-Chicago cover.

Florida averages over 84 points at home. Kentucky averages 65 points on the road. Florida has won four in a row ATS. I see Florida winning this game by 12.

LR the last 3 times, S.Ala. is scoring 78ppg on the road, while Ark LR is scoring around 68ppg at home, now i know Ark LR is 10-1 at home SU, but they're only 3-4 ATS, and 2-5 ATS in conference games, now S.Ala. on the other hand is 4-3 SU on the road but an amazing 6-1 ATS

Miami (Florida) +1.5 : the Canes are scoring around 69ppg on the road, while State is scoring about 66ppg at home, now NC St. is 7-1 SU at home, but only 1-4 ATS, now the Canes are 5-2 SU on the road, but sporting a 5-1 ATS mark. plus i'll throw in the fact that the 2 times i played NC St. earlier in the season they burned me on being a small Favorite, they were favored -2.5 to S.Car and only won by 2, they were favored -2 to Davidson and only won by 1. those 2 bad beats alone make me hope they get run out of the gym.

OLD DOMINION -1??

Almost annually the biggest game in the Colonial. ODU obviously has a very strong home court (40-8 SU within the conference last five years), and this year's team is deeper an bigger upfront than their rivals from Richmond. VCU's once again atop the conference standings, but without Walker and Pellot-Rosa from last season's squad, this team simply isn't the same, despite Eric Maynor's brilliance. Gerald Lee's blossoming into one of the premier inside forces in the conference, and a W here for ODU puts them in a tie with VCU atop the league standings (pending Delaware/NU outcome), while a home loss creates some separation between VCU, ODU and G. Mason, the other legit contender in the CAA.

UTAH -2.5??

BYU's laid two bombs on the road in recent weeks, @ Wake and @ UNLV, both of which resulted in blowout Ls. Now they travel to arguably the most difficult place to play in the conference, at Utah, a team and program that's reinvigorated under first-year coach Jim Boylen, and Boylen inherited an underachieving team that's loaded with talent. I think the Mormons' misery on the road continues this afternoon with another lopsided defeat.

GS +3 The Warriors may be on their 4th road game in 5 days but this is a Bucks team that plays very sloppy a lot of the time and GS outmatches them in every aspect of the game.

GS/Mil u 215 The Bucks do not have the fire power to stay with GS in a fast paced game and GS has to be a little worn out due to the road trip so I look for both teams to slow down a little bit and keep it under the total.
