USA vs RUSSIA Over or Under ?

What does everyone think here? im looking at the under hard...does Russia play at a slow tempo? who has watched the Russia games to to say if they think this goes over or under?

You could watch the espn360 replays, to get a feel of Russia (I haven't done this so I can't answer your question).

Thing is, even if Russia play slow, I think the US are going to want to run because US don't have the post players to play a slow game safely. US have to rely on their athletic advantage and tempo to crush Russia into submission.

russia has two 7 footers.. the US have lamar odom as the starting center.. i don't see how they don't try to run every chance they get.. and it seems coach K is not fond of the russian coach, prolly doesn't mean anything but hey maybe he'll try to run up the score lol...

I already tossed my money on OVER 167.

The Americans have to win in a fast paced game. No other way. I saw interviews with Coach K, Odom and Billups on the game. The common denominator on their opponent was that "the Russians are big", aggressive and that they are not a finesse team. We all know that the Americans are very athletic and can play any type of game, so they're probably going to tire out the Russian big men by playing the full court game. I truly think, subsequently, the Russians have no other choice but to go toward a smaller lineup because they can't hang with the Americans. And that's why I can see both teams scoring even over 170.

Russia plays not only slow defense but also slow in offense. they play fast only on counterattacks after turnovers. i dont think USA will let a lot space here, so we might see slow game and under. but its a 50/50 bet so better skip or try livebet.

If USA had a comfortable lead after 3Q, the total could go over because USA won't play much defense in 4Q. That is the trend they had. If it is a tight game, the total will be way under. So I will watch the 2H bets.

If I were to play the spread I'd definitely lean on Russia simply because the US is very inconsistent and coming off a BLOWOUT win they may have an inflated ego and when the shots aren't falling as often things could get ugly. So with that being said I'd go with Russia +24 and the Under. But if the Russians don't adhere to their game plan and start running with the US then the under is toast.
