I think it's safe to say that the Eastern Conference has finally closed the gap between themselves and the Western Conference. It's not so much a function of the West coming back as it is the East moving forward, although a key component is the seeming vincibility of the Spurs. This should be a real boom season for the NBA especially with the Celtics reclaiming some of their former glory and the youthful surge of the Lakers.
