2nd best player in NBA.. not FIBA
there was no question how valuable to the celtics he was in the playoffs, its not a stretch to call him the 2nd best player out there

Ummmmm, yes, yes it is.

You're telling me if we're starting a new NBA draft and you have the 2nd pick of all NBA players....you would take Rondo? I like him as a player, but I'm not sure he'd even be in my top 20.

well if you put it that way i wouldnt either. but besides kobe, rondo was the only other player that elevated his team to the next level and took them to a game 7 in the finals

I have to repectfully disagree...

Everyone is saying that Rondo either elevated his team or carried them to game 7 of the finals. It was Garnett being back and toughening that interior defense is what carried them to game 7. Case in point, look at the games that the C's won in the finals. It was the interior guys that held the "d" down, out played and out rebounded the Lakers bigs.

Also if Rondo carried the team how come he couldn't carry them to the finals last year? It was more of the fact that Garnett was hurt.

I like Rondo and think he is a good player but I'm not sure if he is even the 2nd best point gaurd let alone 2nd best player. I just think he went from being severly under rated a few years back to being slightly over rated now.

international basketball is the opposite of the NBA

rondo was 2nd in votes for NBA First Team Defense behind dwight howard.

best guard defender in the league. will be unstoppable when confident with his jump shot

I like Rondo and he keeps getting better each year. But 2nd best player in the NBA is laughable. He's not even 2nd best at his position including international players.

1) Chris Paul
2) Ricky Rubio
3) Rondo

Keep in mind Rondo plays with 3 future HOFers
