I failed to mention the Lakers are a chase 110 bet. That is why I parlayed them.

#4800There is one other option but it involves a parlay. A 6 pt. 2 team teaser is -130.
I use it more as a strategy when I am faced with betting games with large money lines. For instance today is a perfect example. BOS is a V1 [A] bet and they are favored by 4.5 and the ML is around -200 and the LAL are a 7 pt. fav vs ATL and the ML is way too steep for my liking so I put them together on a teaser with Lakers -1 and Boston +1.5. If one of them kills the ticket I chase the other team out and try to recover my losses there. The juice is also less to chase. Hope this helps a little. GL
Assuming 200 T @ (-130) 5 or 6 pt teaser. 100 each straight bets - Boston @ (-200), L.A. @ (-300)
If both win:
Teaser = +200,
Straight bets = +200
If both lose:
Teaser = -260 (B) bet on L.A. will be (230), Boston will be (230)
Sraight bets = -500 (B) bet on L.A. will be (400), Boston will be (300)
If Boston (W) and L.A. (L):
Teaser: = -260 (B) bet on L.A. will be (460) no (B) bet on Boston (This is to get the 2 units)
Straight bets = -200 (B) bet on L.A. will be (400) no (B) bet on Boston
If L.A. (W) and Boston (L):
Teaser = -260 (B) bet on Boston will be 460 (This is to get the two units)
Straight bets = -100 (B) bet on Boston will be (300) no (B) bet on L.A.
The first scenario is the same money either way to win. The second scenario is better if both favorites happen to lose. The last two scenarios will have you placing larger (B) bets than you would had you straight bet the teams. Since three of the four possibilities benefit the straight wager, I would stick with that. And if both teams happen to lose, spread some of your losses around another way. Just a note, I bought Boston down to -1 1/2 @ (-170). Hope they win by 2.Comment -

#4801Today's Pick for Tuesday, February 22, 2011,
* NBA Triple Play Pick *
Sacramento Kings (B) 7:35PM EST
Don't miss out on my premium selections!
Click the link below:
Remember that B & C bets don't happen back to back. I will let you know
when a B or C bet comes.
Remember to buy 3 points. I recommend betting to win 2% of your bankroll on
every series. You want to make sure you have plenty of money to cover the
spread plus having some left over. This needs to be thought of as a longterm
investment. So if Toronto doesn't cover make sure to bet the correct amount
on the B bet.
Make sure to buy 3 points at the highest spread on scoresandodds.com.
For example, let say you want to win 10$ on the first series. Then on the
A bet you need to risk 17$ to win 10$. If you lose then on the B bet you need to
risk 45.90$ to win 27$. If you lose then on the C bet you need to be
risking 123.93 to win 72.90.
If you have any question feel free to give me a call at 702-308-2834.

#4809We just had this complete discussion above. Does anybody read anything in here, or just post questions as they pop in their heads. To everyone, please read all posts from the last time you logged on up to the current last post. Then read the system rules for whatever system you have a question on. If the question is still not answered, then feel free to ask it. I am not singleing you out, but this is the fifth or sixth time, today alone, that a question was already asked with the answer being in system rules, or in a previous post earlier in the page. This is why some of the folks don't want multiple systems on here. It is not because of the posted plays, which we are coordinating very well, but the repeated same questions over and over because reading information which has already been provided, just isn't an option for some people. Please read. For those of you who didn't pay attention in school, this is why your teacher always told you how important it was to read the directions.Comment -

#4810Anyone Know Vegas?
This is a bit off topic but what better place to ask this question-
Here is Australia at TAB betting on a couple NBA games you can bet on 1st score type (LA Lakers 2 points, ATL 2 points, LA Lakers 3 points, ATL 3 points, LA Lakers free throw and so on). You can also (for a limited amount of teams) bet on last score type 1 half, 1st score type 3rd quarter etc. Does anyone know that if in Las Vegas at the Sports Books can you do these types of bets on all NBA games being played?
Thank you-Comment -

#4817You are correct, however, that only means they are more likely to cover it this time
Stop looking at little details of the system and just place bets... the system works... you know how many people said sharkz game was going under tonight? it went under like 8 out of 9 times, but soon as the system says over, bingo! it goes over
Sports betting is not always what you expect! Thats why there are systems! If it was always what you expected it to be, then everyone would quit their jobs and just do sports betting for a living. Just follow the systems and print money. Stop worrying so much.Comment -

#4819Maybe you all can help me out with this one. I have open office for excel, im trying to create a graph to represent a couple things for my sports betting sheet(s):
1) Date
2) Profit over certain period of time
3) investment
Do you all know how to create this?
I tried highlighting my return and i hit chart and select line graph, but does not come out right. Can someone give me instructions on how to do this ?Comment -

I think you need 4 columns, first to signify the y and x axis and then the next 2 would be your data (Scatter graph?). I am not sure how to do it in Open Office, but I can do it in MS Excel.

#4824I thought this was a great idea until I looked at it further. It seems the only way this would be beneficial is if both teams lost, any other scenario would cost you the same or more. Basketball only offers 5 pt teasers, where did you get 6 at (-130).
Assuming 200 T @ (-130) 5 or 6 pt teaser. 100 each straight bets - Boston @ (-200), L.A. @ (-300)
If both win:
Teaser = +200,
Straight bets = +200
If both lose:
Teaser = -260 (B) bet on L.A. will be (230), Boston will be (230)
Sraight bets = -500 (B) bet on L.A. will be (400), Boston will be (300)
If Boston (W) and L.A.

Dang dude ! You went further into it than I ever have. Let me try and answer everything in one post. In Vegas you can by a 2 team teaser @ 5pts. -120,
5.5 pts. -125 and 6 pts. -130 but you can't by individual points other than the hook (half point).
Your figuring between teaser and straight bet is right on but the one thing that makes a little bit of difference is the extra points. An example is last week on the NJN game, the point spread moved during the day and some people lost and of course JM would claim a win. I had that game on a teaser and easily covered and now have the opportunity to double dip. This scenario does not come up a lot but it's nice when it does. I tend to use it when I don't like the posted point spread otherwise I just straight bet.
Yeah if one team loses I definitely root for the other to lose also. You're right about spreading your losses around. Sometimes I do that. I read almost all the posts in this thread and a lot of people worry about the individual games. I just bet the system but I try and handicap each game and that's how I make my choices.
Thanks for the time you put in.Comment -
