Thats a shot in the dark. getting good in nba is about signing free agents. unless they are stockpiling lottery picks.

It is Cleveland.. not a hot spot for free agents... so they either need to draft well or overpay and overreach for guys through FA.. draft is the better option

Cavs will not make playoffs next year.

That said, I wouldn't advise fading them every game either because people know they suck, so their lines will be inflated.

They will get good very fast.

They have a trade exemption they can trade for a top guy from a team looking to dump salary later this year.

Next year with virtually everyone off the cap they can sign 1-2 top guys.

Remember most years only 1 or 2 teams have any cap space. 2010 was an anomaly. When there is no where else to go and the Cavs can offer max deals people will like Cleveland better.

I'm one of the few that thinks Cleveland won't actually be that bad. They'll have a chip on their shoulder with the whole LeBron saga, and I think they can win 30-35 games or more.
