the grizzlies were really close to signing lee last offseason, but opted instead for zach randolph because lee was asking for too much and his camp was unwilling to compromise. you think about how zach flourished in the memphis system, earning an all star bid, and you see in memphis lee would have really turned a lot more heads than staying with new york and ultimately going to the warriors. he'd come out of memphis with a nice contract like zach will when it's all said and done.

unless memphis keeps zach, which i don't think they will be able (ie want to fork over the cash) to do.
