why dont they run down the clock in wnba games?

I mean when they have the last possession in a quarter why dont they run the clock down before shooting

I havent watched many wnba games but the ones I have watched is rediculous, they shoot straight away and leave enough time to opponents to score before the buzzer

you can't really compare the wnba with the NBA in how they close out the game. yeah I have seen them do some stupid stuff with 10 seconds to go but what can you do about it..

Some NFL coaches are the same way with time management. Makes you wonder what is going on in the coaches head. It is the coach that could be relaying his wishes.
