Miami can't seem to keep Kobe's name out of their mouth
"I don't see where you can get where he quit," Wade said. "He just had one bad game. It happens. Kobe had a bad game in the finals. They won. It didn't matter. LeBron's teammates didn't help him out that game and it made the way he played even worse. But he's not a quitter. He didn't quit."

Here we go again Wade taking a shot at Kobe in game 7.

What Wade fails to recognize is that Kobe's defense and 15 rebounds, clutch free throws, were the difference in the game. Kobe had a bad shooting night, but filled up the stat sheet in everything else. And he had 23 points, lead scorer.

"He knew he had help and guys came through for him," James said last week of Bryant's Game 7 showing in the Finals.

Wow James is such a tool. Crying about help as usual.

Wade and co need to stop trying to justify themselves by talking shit about Kobe, that's all I'm saying.

Lebron quit, there is literally no argument to that. Watch the game again, he quit.

Kobe had a few off nights in the finals, but he always brought it defensively. I despise the guy, but putting him and Lebron in the same sentence is a joke.

In 5 years Lebron will have a few rings on that all star team in Miami and you will be able to compare him to Magic because he will be a rebounder, passer, and scorer, but Lebron should never be compared to Kobe

The refs were the difference in game 7, not Kobe, the Celtics were up double digits in the second half and would have won easily if Stern had not ordered the refs to call a foul on the Celtics for everything they did making the Lakers the world champions of free throw shooting.

              1. If Lebro quit, so did Kobe. So he had a few bad shooting nights, so did Kobe. He turned the ball over some, so did Kobe. Kobe made it up with rebounds, so did Lebron. Kobe had 15 in his last game, Lebron had 19. Not to mention a triple double. Frankly, if Lebron quit, so did Kobe. Kobe teammates bailed him out. Lebron wasn't so lucky. Personally, I don't think either of them quit. (I don't see how a player with a triple double be labeled as a quitter)

              2. Lebron is Wade's teammate. He has to defend him. If Wade wasn't defending him, I imagine you guys would have something criticial to say about that too.

              3. Kobe and Lebron shouldn't be compared. Lebron game is more similar to Magics. He scores, rebounds, passes, and makes his teammates a lot better than what they actually are.

              4. Boston lost that game, the refs didn't do it for them. Boston's fouls were very obvious. Not to mention very brutal..

              5. Miami can't seem to keep Kobe's name out of thier mouths. Fair enough. But a lot of people on this board can't seem to keep Miami or Lebron out of theirs...

THIS IS RIGHT ON. Kobe is the wuss... (game 7 no-show) except that he resides and plays in a HUGE market, and the NBA needs to sell T-Shirts... Boston has no annointed superstar, thus they have less fans... which translates to less revenue.. and so on...

while you are one of Kobe's girls (creator of this thread) i am sure you would root against Kobe is somebody plopped a suitcase with $1M dollars in front of you to do so... you must understand that the Lakers winning translates to saved jobs... for the powers that be

Kobe did what needed to be done to win the game, rebounds and defense. If Kobe had shot 50% the lakers would have blown the celtics out, Kobe tried, he was tired whatever and missed a bunch of shots. But he hit shots in the fourth, and nailed his free throws as well. And he never stopped trying, he didn't quit.

Lebron quit on his team, go watch the tape. Go watch the other games they got blown out in as well and tell me Lebron didn't quit. You got NBA players, owners, coaches, all saying Lebron quit, they saw the same thing everyone else saw. If you watch those games you can see Lebron quit on his team. He was hiding from the ball, turning it over, bad passes, I mean it was brutal.

Lebron had 9 turnovers, most of his triple double came in the first half. And his shooting wasn't that much better than Kobe's 8-21.

you gotta be joking me... the ONLY reason the Lakers are doing anything is GASOL... funny how he showed up and the Lakers went to 3 straight Finals (though they did lose 2) i count the Celtic ones as both losses... those rebounds bounced right to him on the defensive end (game 7).. that was in no way a dominant performance expected from a guy who tolf the press that you have to "man-up" or you "deserve to be a champion" (after Game 5)..

he is a total putz... 14 years.. one MVP!?!? (7%)
as opposed to Lebron 7 yrs career 2 MVPs (28%)

if Lebron or Durant had the support, or if the Celtics had 2 7ft. centers to take care of all the rebounds.. then they would have won the last 3... you Kobe girls gotta wake up.. he's flashy..
that's it. he does not create greatness around himseld as Jordan did...

I know that rooting for a star in a major market makes you feel safe, and that you feel good in the company of large numbers and support.. and that once there you want your man to be THE BEST... any normal girl would.. but the facts speak for themselves... if he as a great player, the Stern Police would not have had to step in during the 4th Qtr. to help him into his high-chair

I'm not a Lebron fan, it is just obvious, that this LA Championship generates more money, for Stern and the entire NBA. The league lost ALOT of money last 2 years with the poor economy. Kobe is very good.. but selfish, and NOT Legendary by any stretch... LOL... better than Jordan.. you gotta be kidding me..

Jordan won the MVP.. AND the Best Defensive Player in the same year!!..
they woulda given him the B.D.P. more often.. but it looked bad, him winning everything.. that's like the same Person winning Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor.. at the SAME Oscar's.. it too much.. they have to spread it out

did gasol win anything in memphis before coming to LA? did he even win a single playoff game before coming to LA? he had a much better supporting cast than the 05-07 lakers but did he win any playoff game, just in case you don't remember the rosters for 05-07 lakers kobe, smush, lamar, kwame, luke memphis had gasol, battier, mike miller, eddie jones, bobby jackson that's a supporting cast better than kobe had back then, kobe has a lot to do with gasol's success if gasol had not come to LA he would not be this good

i think you know kobe had a bad reputation with the media so him not winning the MVP, the media had a lot to do with it, kobe got robbed in 02-03 and 05-06, duncan and nash won it that year, if we have a different voting system kobe would have won more

how about if lebron and durant have the same supporting cast that kobe had in 05-07 will they even make the playoffs? kobe made gasol a better player than he was when he was in memphis, gasol was pushed by kobe to hit the gym when they lost the 1st finals against the celtics, jordan had pippen who is a better player than gasol and those around him like ron harper he was already a star when he was in cleveland but age and injury made him join the bulls, rodman was a rebounding monster defensive player when he was with the pistons, did jordan make those players a lot better?

boston ran out of steam in the 4th that made them result to giving up fouls, watch the tape again those fouls were really obvious how can the refs not call it when the fouls are really obvious?

Your opinions are retarded. Gasol hadn't made the playoffs because he played on a HORRID team. Lebron would have taken the 05-07 Lakers further than Kobe did.

Actually dude he did make the playoffs, and they got swept 4 times. Kobe and Phil have given Pau the opportunity to become the player he is.

Did the refs let the Lakers grab fukkin over 20 offensive boards? Did the refs control the glass? How do you win games? You win games by playing physical, and getting rebounds and defending, and the Lakers did everything that game. Kobe dominated the game defensively and so did Ray Allen for Boston. Boston was winded in the 4th and you could see it, KG had no lift in his legs. GO STUDY BASKETALL!!!!!

Kobe did what hhe does best throughout his career. Get to the line when it matters most. You saw me say it a few months back that Kobe saves all his energy for the last few minutes of the 4th and he dominated those few minutes. Stop looking at stats, at all the bullshit. Kobe won his 5th well deserved ring. Boston was missing that 1 bench player in game 7 that could give them something.

I just shot down both your petty arguments with ease. don't make me really breakdown that game for you and tell you why the Lakers should have won with all play by play analysis.

(7%) as opposed to Lebron 7 yrs career 2 MVPs (28%) if Lebron or Durant had the support, or if the Celtics had 2 7ft. centers to take care of all the rebounds.. then they would have won the last 3... you Kobe girls gotta wake up.. he's flashy.. that's it. he does not create greatness around himseld as Jordan did... I know that rooting for a star in a major market makes you feel safe, and that you feel good in the company of large numbers and support.. and that once there you want your man to be THE BEST... any normal girl would.. but the facts speak for themselves... if he as a great player, the Stern Police would not have had to step in during the 4th Qtr. to help him into his high-chair I'm not a Lebron fan, it is just obvious, that this LA Championship generates more money, for Stern and the entire NBA. The league lost ALOT of money last 2 years with the poor economy. Kobe is very good.. but selfish, and NOT Legendary by any stretch... LOL... better than Jordan.. you gotta be kidding me.. Jordan won the MVP.. AND the Best Defensive Player in the same year!!.. they woulda given him the B.D.P. more often.. but it looked bad, him winning everything.. that's like the same Person winning Best Actor, and Best Supporting Actor.. at the SAME Oscar's.. it too much.. they have to spread it out Jordan MILLION times better than Kobe Hilton

Everyone is going after that rebound don't fukkin kid yourself son

Wade and co need to stop trying to justify themselves by talking shit about Kobe, that's all I'm saying.
first of all.want to stress this .i dam not a kobe fan,but he has won championship with shaq and without shaq,so that tells me he knows how to win.now when it comes to miami.wade is the only one who won and the other two have only dreamed about winning.so they need to stopcomplaining about what they had and didnt have and what kobe had and didnt have, and win the big one.i think if miami just makes the playoffs and blows chunks in playoffs.it would be a disappointment.do say i like wade and would love for him to win some more championships but the other two.i couldnt care less
