Boozer leaves Utah, Amare leaves suns. NO competition in the west outside of the thunder who arent ready yet. Cakewalk to the finals and then they get to see if LEbron and his crew have any energy left for them.

Heat will get some bench players, De'sean butler and dexter pittman at center. Chalmers will play PT and they can grab some D-league players and roll.

Couldn't agree more Lakerboy. The West has become a joke. The Lakers will use the last month of the regular season to rest, while the Big 3 will have to fight to preserve games down the stretch. The Bulls and yes, even the Celtics are going to push these guys to the limit.

Amen. Is that cappinpicks a tool? I have never seen somebody more delusional in my entire life.

I can't believe how many people have already crowned the Heat. Does anybody here watch basketball? Has anybody seen the Lakers? The Heat will have to add many pieces to even compete with LA in a championship series especially if Bynum is healthy for a series. LA's lenghth and size in unstoppable.

In a series with LA Bosh will be a non-factor. Lebron will be usueless... Just leaving Wade to do it all again.

At this point I doubt very seriously the Heat can advance agaisnt the aging big 3 (Celtics)come Eastern conference finals... Not to mention Orlando and Chicago will not be a cake walk.

At this point I don't see Miami having the roster to compete for a championship. It takes more than 1.5 superstars to win a championship.

Portland is the oinly real contender to the Lakers next year.

OKC can make some noise also, but they still have no Center.

Balance of power which has been the west for years has definatly shifted to the east.. Lakers roll to a three peat. Miami will be good in time but not this upcoming season. Will be fun to watch in seasons to come.. but dont count the purple and gold out.. Kobe will send Phil out on top with another 3 peat.

Maybe Dallas have something to say about that? Surely they'll make some trades.

But Lakers will win west once again. And I really hope Miami doesn't win east.

Then Phl will go to Miami and coach those three knuckleheads and win the title. Phil can not coach unless he has superstars...... can he???

Kobe has balled up Lebron on multiple occasions. Put Kobe on wade, Pau on bosh, and artest/odom on bron. Those are good matchups for the lakers if you ask me. I mean Bosh can't stop Pau, Bron can't cover 2 guys, so either Odom, or Kobe, or Ron will have some D league scrub guarding them. The lakers have trouble with very physical teams, and the Heat are not a physical team. The lakers won't have any trouble scoring against that unit because of Kobe and the lakers huge size advantage. But we'll see Christmas day...

The Lakers are still the team to beat, as they are the champions. How good the heat will be, I don't know. But one thing is for certain, the entire league will have to adjust to the new Big 3..

Lakers over the Heat in 7. Kobe will be sure to 3peat and this will be a ratings bonanza for the NBA

It wouldn't surprise me if LA sets the record for most wins in a season this year.

I'm not sold on the heat beating the Magic let alone the Lakers; They don't have a powerful dominant big man they don't have any outside shooters.
Both the Lakers and the Magic will dominate the glass and slow the game down there isn't enough time in a game for Miami to get all three superstars enough touches to get any sort of rhythm.
This isn't the '08 Celtics whose big 3 complimented each other perfectly; a shooter a scorer a dominant post player, this a slasher a slasher and a finesse big man.

I just don't see it. LA in 5 if Miami even gets to the finals.

we all realize Stern runs the NBA right? Lakers obviously coming out the west and possibly winning it all, but there is no way there won't be a Lakers-Heat final. Stern won't leave that money on the table. Everyone is acting like the Heat have to play Chicago in the 1st round, Orlando in the 2nd then Boston in the east finals. It's called seeding folks, that won't happen.
