#10Kind of what I'm wondering. You'd think they'd want as much suspense as their could be. Obviously as a Knicks fan I'll still be watching, but I feel like this rumor/report may drive a few not-so-interested people away.Originally posted by Onefreedm1ndWhy would they report it before their hour special?Comment -

#11Florida as a state has an advantage due to lack of state income tax. Any salary cut they take to come together in MIA would be eaten up in state taxes elsewhere.
Still, if the caps 58 million now (?) and you're locking in all 3 for roughly 45 - 48 mill, plus beasley's 5 mill, that leaves only 8 mill max to round out the roster (?), assuming they dump Chalmers, although he seems like quality cheap labor at this point.
It seems like no one is willing to take on Beasley. Why make the rich richer?
New defense in the league will be injure Wade.Comment -

#13The tax does not make a huge difference here. It's less than a million dollar difference than it would be in NY, and he would make a whole lot more off of the court in NY.Originally posted by djiddish98Florida as a state has an advantage due to lack of state income tax. Still, he'd be paying about10%12.6% in NY with State and City income tax - and from my limited understanding, they hit you where you work, not necessarily where you live.Comment -

New York ($1.449 million).
Cleveland ($894,228)
New Jersey ($1.155 million)
and in Miami he'd end up paying $436,818 for games played in other states. So it's actually not too big of a difference in Cleve.

#27The Heat would require 5 league minimum players according to ESPN yesterday. That doesn't seem smart, but what do I know. I am leaning Cleveland with a twist somewhere. Can Anthony be traded to Cleveland somehow? Those 2 seem a good fit for the Cavs, although no decision really guarantees a title. Kobe is loving this.Comment -

#29Why would Lebron care what you think? You already hate him. His fans will support him. About half the Cleveland fans are strictly Lebron fans. Then he will get more fans in Miami, if he goes there. And IF he wins a championship or multiple, he will have even more fans... Everybody is focusing on the negative, but what people fail to realize is that most of the negativity will be forgotten in a year. It will only take a few ESPN highlights for some.. lolOriginally posted by Naz18I will hate LeBron even more if he goes to Miami....I really could careless where he goes, but because of the hype. fking attention whore if he announces he's going to Miami when Wade and Bosh announce the day before.Comment -
