Will the Bulls pay the lux tax 3 years down the road? That's what it really comes down to if these guys want to find a team who will take on 2 or 3 max or near max contracts. The Bulls could get LeBron and Bosh, but won't be able to pay for Rose or any body else in a few years. So you have to ask can LeBron and Bosh win a title by themselves? Personally I don't think so.

I meant comparable in basketball skill if that wasn't clear, btw. MJ accepting less money? He made over $30 million for years. When did LJ quit on his teammates? MJ was born in Brooklyn and grew up in NC. The mother comment is classless and irrelevant.

Lol, you actually think they would just let D Rose go? You are nuts. He will be a bull for a longggg time. Even if we sign these two we will figure something out especially if we get rid of deng's contract. Lol D Rose ain't going nowhere son.

I didn't watch most of the games closely (using computer at same time), and I have a bad memory, so I had to look up information and commentary about this. Anything in Game 5 he did didn't change the outcome of the game. Game 6, I don't know, but you'd need to make a stronger case. Yes, stats do matter; this is real life, not a movie, where emotional drive and friendship surpasses all.

If you didnt watch the games then you should stay out of this. If you watched the games you would have seen that there was no emotion from him . Anyways you go and say whatever appeals to you sir, im not gonna waste anymore time arguing with someone who is blind to the facts and what happened. Carry on.

I did watch. You didn't read my post carefully enough? And why are you going back to emotion? I'll re-word my last point: the NBA playoffs is not a Disney Movie. If you want to be "blind to the facts" and "say whatever appeals to you," keep going on about LeBron's emotions.

CHICAGO -- Bulls chairman Jerry Reinsdorf and coach Tom Thibodeau will accompany general manager Gar Forman and executive vice president John Paxson on their recruiting trip of Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James, according to a source familiar with the situation.

                                          ESPNChicago.com Bulls blog

The latest news from Bulls reporter Nick Friedell. Blog

The NBA free-agent market opens at 12:01 a.m. ET on Thursday, and James is expected to host representatives from several teams in northeastern Ohio. The New Jersey Nets and New York Knicks are expected to meet with James on Thursday.
It's not certain when the Bulls contingent will travel to Ohio to meet with James.
"When July hits, there are so many scenarios and so many different things that can happen," Forman said recently on "Mike & Mike In The Morning" on ESPN Radio. "Our job as a front office has been to spend time preparing for all the different things that can happen, not unlike the draft. To prepare for the draft, you have a lot of options in front of you and you have to study all those options and sometimes make quick decisions, so you have to spend time beforehand and take a look at all those things and be ready for anything that comes about.
"You can't have any contact until July 1, so obviously on July 1 we're going to be very active. There are different paths you can take, but on July 1, we'll get a feel for the landscape, and then make decisions based off that."
There was some uncertainty whether Thibodeau, who accepted the Bulls' job on June 5 while he still was an assistant coach with the Boston Celtics, would join the recruiting party. The Bulls apparently believe their new coach, who's respected as one of the top defensive minds in the NBA, can make a strong impact.
Thibodeau, whose Celtics eliminated James' Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs, can discuss how he would fit James in with rising star Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah.
"We feel we have a bunch to sell, and it starts with the young nucleus of players we have, a world-class city, a brand known worldwide, the best fans in the NBA," Forman said recently. "And with this young core, we think there's a large window of opportunity to have success here in Chicago. "
James, the Toronto Raptors' Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade headline the most star-studded free-agent pool in NBA history.

no hard minimum, other than the fact that +280 may not lend itself well to certain numbers (i.e., no such thing as 5.6 SBR point if you laid 2). any multiple of 5 is pretty clean (5:14), but if it's within a couple of tenths of a point, i'd round down since i made the offer (e.g., 4:11.2, would round down to 11).

He will leave. The grass is always greener and this time it actually is. Cleveland is not close to winning a title. The most curious thing in my opinion is if he goes for the money outside of basketball (N.Y.), or if he is trying to win a championship (Bulls). If all these guys only wanted to win, as they say, they would all be Lakers or Magic for the minimum. But we all know that will never happen. They see Kobe making the big bucks and winning. It can be done, but not by everyone.
