In the end both sets of fans on this forum came out as whiny losers.

How about this it was a series that was won by the taller team, who used their length to gain a rebounding advantage that the Celtics couldn't overcome. The Celtics played hard and just weren't talented enough at this stage of their careers to overcome that length. It wasn't the prettiest series ever. But the Celtics should be proud of the fact that they got as far as they did. Obviously the Lakers should be happy they won the whole thing.

congrats to the Lakers they deserved to win. Congrats to the Celtics, they gave us Celtic fans one hell of an unexpected run.

If you knew anything about basketball you would know that was not a charge by ray allen kobe moves right in front of him and did not have his feet set no way that was a charge

Maybe if Ray shot better than 3-14 or didn't pull up and run away everytime he drove to the hole but 3 Lakers met him he could have made more shots and drawn some fouls but he was pussy and backed out and passed it away. Go rewatch the game

My gripe is that the refs were letting them go the entire game. They were not calling anything.

Then all of the sudden they call a foul on Boston on 6 consectutive Laker offensive possesions ???

This puts them in the penalty with 8 mins to go in the 4th.

All Kobe had to do then was drive to the basket and gets the whistle

12 - 5 team fouls in the 4th

Now...I dont think they were any bad calls per say... but it seemed to me the refs decided to blow the whiste when the Lakers needed it most

I said this late in the fourth and the Lakers fans told me I was full of shit.

Its not just the Lakers, but any home team in the NBA.

I guess thats why they play all year. Home call I mean court advantage but it sucks. Every big NBA game I see the home team gets so many calls.

In the NBA nearly every possession has contact, nearly every possession they could call a foul. You let it be close in the 4th the home team gets the foul every time they need it. Worst thing about the NBA.

calm down bitch. i'm just stating facts. If you believe this game was rigged down the stretch you don't know the first thing about basketball. Kobe is not gonna get calls down the stretch when he goes to the rim? Did you used to say this too when Jordan would get every call down the stretch? This is a game 7 pal, Boston had every opportunity to put the game away and they blew it. Everyone in the building knew Kobe would get to the line when it really mattered.

there's no need to get defensive. Boston got outplayed. They got manhandled on the boards- pure domination- then laid an egg offensively in the 4th because they had no energy. Ray did a great job on Kobe defensively, as good a defenisve performance i have seen in 25 years of watching NBA. Kobe's defense was almost as spectacular

If the Lakers lost this game 7: 1. No three peat chance for the Lakers. 2. Most likely no Phil Jackson for the Lakers next season. 3. No more Kobe-Jordan comparisons/hype for a long time. 4. No Phil Jackson for the Lakers throws the team into disarray, too many unknowns. 5. The Laker's current dynasty comes to an end and that means lots of lost hype/publicity going forward. As Donahgy keeps saying, the league's in the red and it needs all the help it can get. Did anyone catch Kareem's face after the game, he looked embarrassed to be celebrating... welcome to the current NBA, it's just business, nothing personal.

Celtics lost because the Lakers had a better season record and thus game 7 was played in Los Angeles. If game 7 were in Boston, the Celtics would have gotten all the calls. Thats the NBA.
