    If the hand is the ball according to the NBA rules...
    when a player goes to steal the ball from a player mid shot, or block a shot, and slaps the back of the hand, not the wrist, say the back of the fingers, or knuckles, is this a foul? or is this considered a shot at the ball, and clean, all ball, as long as it's below the wrist?

      the answer is it is CLEAN...

      which is what gasol hit, THE BALL (back of garnetts hand)... which forced it out of bounds...

      people are having trouble with this? STILL?
