Ron artest is the new "MSP"
Im not a LAKERS fan but im an NBA fan , n sure like and appreciate the best player in the NBA - Kobe bryant , i can understand a bad day of a player or a team , but i can't understand stupidity - RON ARTEST ! he should play with he's nuts but not basketball ! was the switch with Ariza realy worth it?
Artest is the new MSP - MOST STUPID PLAYER !

He played well in the 2nd game too... Him and Bynum were pretty much lakers only decent players. Artest > Ariza and it's not even close.

IT also seems like Artest give 110% every time on Defense. Yes he makes plenty of poor decisions on offense, But Defense wins Championships.

It can't be easy for a guy to make his shots, when he's tired from busting his ass defending/chasing pierce around. There are arguments on both side.

Artest held pierce to 2 for 11 or something like that... how he ever scored 20-25 on the regular for the rockets i'll never know.
Under 2 min in a close game he might need to be on the bench unless you're making offensive for defensive substitutions.

I can only imagine how much Pierce would get with Ariza covering him

He might not be producing much offensively, but at the same time he's doing a good job shutting down Pierce. The matchup has been a wash so far, which is a plus for the Lakers.

Artest is better if he's the star of the team like he was in Houston.

for game 1 of the finals he bought $18,000 worth ot tickets for fans.

I don't agree with this. Especially when age is factored into the equation. But if the Lakers repeat all is well and they did the right move. Artest is doing a good job of slowing down Pierce. Probably better than Ariza would but Ariza has a better offensive game and way more upside.

artest had to be houstons go-to scorer last year so he had the ball in his hands all the time. on the lakers hes anywhere from 3rd to 5th option. thats a lot of spot jumpshots which prolly isnt his forte. ariza is more of a spot shooter.

I think his defensive efforts outweight his offensive struggles at times.

i can stomach his atrocious offense and him being a ball stopper as long as he does a good job on pierce or other premiere small forwards, artest on pierce is a big factor, it helps kobe a lot since kobe can concentrate on guarding rondo and have more energy to spend in scoring the ball

What is so bizarre to me is he use to be a pretty good 3 pointer shooter at Houston and now he jacks up at least one air ball a game.
