Why is there a 2 day break in the NBA finals?

Meanwhile there is a 1 day break after game 2 with travel to Boston. This makes no sense whatsoever. Play every other day for crying out loud. This is a big advantage to Boston.

Personally like the 2-3-2 format. Gives the road team a small, if momentary edge. And sunday night have much better ratings than saturday...

Yeah doesn't make that much sense, but the NBA is a business just like every sport and they know what they're doing. 2-3-2 format was strictly made so no series would go down 3-0, less ratings and people would lose interest.
