the opening odds for Orlando series was around Boston +250. After the first win it went down to +110. I have bets as high as +1000 for E.C. and +1500 to take it all.
Before this series, Boston was 6-1 to take it all. After first win, 7-2, and now, just 2-1.
But there is still value in 2-1 because the Lakers/Suns will not be favored 2-1 over Boston.
The only thing, Boston needs 2 more wins first, so I am taking those first.. although we all have to think about whether we take the Captain for his word, after this public sweep call Orlando will be riled up, although I'm not convinced that matters.

It all depends on what happens in GM 3. One thinks if Boston wins GM 3, then they'll get the sweep in GM 4.

WALTHAM — Paul Pierce said he was happy to hear that Dwight Howard was not getting suspended for Game 3 after his flagrant 1 foul in the second quarter of Game 2 that resulted in a pair of scratch marks on Pierce’s forehead above his left eye.
“My reaction to him not getting suspended is a good reaction because we want the team’s best,” Pierce said. “In order to be the best, you want to get their best. If they lose Dwight Howard, obviously they’re still a good team but that’s not the best team they put on the floor. We just want their best.”
The NBA announced Wednesday that Howard would not be disciplined for the hard foul that resulted in Pierce hitting the deck hard just before halftime on Tuesday night.

Doc Rivers expressed displeasure at the public way in which Paul called a sweep.
Then, Paul's management put out the word that his account was hacked because of that.
What he said live on court after game stands.

"we want LA" will be chanted in Boston just like LA chanted "we want Boston".

I'm not sure about the sweep. I think the whole sweep call by Pierce was a bad idea. I love to have confidence and swagger, but I think he may have lit a fire. And as has been mentioned, the Celtics almost seem like a better road team right now. But we'll see. I'm certainly not playing Game 3.

Morning coffee just firing up my brain cells. How could I forget that chant ? DUHH - BEAT LA. i had just watched the ESPN piece and they got it wrong. We won't hear it until the 4th game which means Celtics WILL win tomorrow.

Celtics put away Cavaliers and Miami at TD Garden they can put away the Magic there also. The reputation of them being stronger on the road is a regular season rep only. They are going to do everything possible to sweep the Magic, you know it. There won't be any resting of laurels.. they want real rest time going into the Finals.. especially with the way Lakers are making quick work of the Suns. Both C's and Lakemen want sweeps and may get them.

btw the reason why they were weak coming back from a road trip is the wives.
Rivers said so. See, they al come back and make love to their wives which weakens the legs. Just like Micky said in the Rocky movie "women weaken legs" and they also soften up with all that domestic home concern stuff, whatever it may be. This is the crunch time .. wives won't mess with them now, or distract them from the job at hand.
