#2Why???
The UNDER would be a stronger play, as these are UNDER refs. Especially BavettaComment -

#3Both those refs HEAVILY favor the road team, what's your logic behind this? Crawford is 37-28 ATS road teams and Bavetta is 38-27 ATS road teams. In the last 20 games Crawford and Bavetta have reffed the Lakers are 16-4 SU.Scared money don't make money

#6Kind of surprising that these are under refs, would figure the opposite. Both of these refs love attention and love blowing the whistle.Originally posted by HoulihansTXWhy??? The UNDER would be a stronger play, as these are UNDER refs. Especially BavettaComment -

#12Its hard to imagine the league is pushing for the Lakers to lose.
Lakers are the biggest moneymaker the league has.
I guess you guys are saying they want to guarantee a game 5 in LA?Comment -

#13does jazz -4.5 remind anyone of spurs -6.5 last night. books trying to kill sharps. lakers are one of those teams that will lay down right away if they dont feel it and conserve it for game 4 like they did in okc game 4. on the other hand if al feels it 4.5 is way too much.Comment -

#14Of course -4.5 is too much, but it just matters if the Lakers care tonight.
Given the history of this series though. GM 3 is owned by the Jazz.Comment -

they won by 2 points last year on a last second jumper by dwill. they won by 5 points in 2008 in game 3. so
2009 game 3 in utah - jazz win 88-86
2008 game 3 in utah - jazz win 104-99
that is not ownage- thats barely winning. like you said though its all about the lakers tonight- if they show up they can win.Comment -

#17I remember in the middle of the season when Kobe, and Bynum were INJ they played @ Jazz.
The line for the game was Jazz -4.5.
So this line is all about it being a must win situation. This is nowhere near the fair line for the game.Comment -

yeah, when we say that the league wants a lakers loss, its just for one or maybe both of these utah games...no way they lose the series tho...we should see utah win at least 1 of the next 2 ...and a slight chance we might even see a repeat of the OKC series...

#21i dont know if it just depends on if the lakers care tonight...the lakers obviously cared in the first two games..and for the most part, they were pretty competitive..im not saying the teams are even, obviously LA is the better team...but i think even if the lakers do care, jazz still has a shot to cover ..Originally posted by HoulihansTXOf course -4.5 is too much, but it just matters if the Lakers care tonight.
