You shouldnt do this for the simple fact that you are going against the hottest team in the NBA right now. Not saying ATL isn't the play, but you don't risk 5 dimes on a team that has been thoroughly dominated by its opposition thus far.

It's been clearly shown that Orlando has a huge matchup advantage when these teams meet -- that is a verifiable statistical situation. Atlanta's weakness is right up against Orlando's strength. Given that, it's WAY too risky to think that Atlanta's suddenly figured out how to fix this. You're basically banking on intangibles like home crowd and energy and all that stuff...

Always make your giant bets behind the better team, in my opinion. Not chasing the inferior one with +EV.

The books are just begging for people to take Atlanta, look at that line. People thinking they are at home and in a pretty much must win situation, etc. They lost by 40+ points in game one! That is enough right there to deter most people from playing this I would hope. I am not going big on the Magic here like I did in Games 1 and 2 however because I know there is a chance they go be upset but I highly doubt it. Have some parlays with Orlando and will probably add some straight plays for the games and quarters. Theres better games on the board. Atlanta is simply not worth the risk at all! You want an upset pick, take the Lakers for 1 unit tonight. The Magic are the best team in the NBA as far as I am concerned, why go against them? I think the Magic at -130 tonight is a bargain!

It's much easier to be confident in a great team & a great coach in the playoffs. Regular season shit happens, but come playoffs the cream rises to the top. I made loads of cash in the 90s with MJ & the Bulls. Same scenarios here with Magic, Suns, LA & Cavs...all are strong, focused, great bench strength and motivated teams with great coaching. Fvck that shit about fixes and what Stern wants...A great team will beat an average, mediocre coached team almost every time in the playoffs.

I read the thread and 5 Dimes is 5 Dimes. 40% of your bank roll on tilt is basically ALL IN.

I don't have any money on this one so I wish you luck but even betting a dime on the Hawks in this spot is too risky a play, especially for 10% of your bank. If you take 1% of your roll, your base unit should be around $100. Why bet 10 units on the Hawks? Why even think about betting 5 Dimes = 50 Units on the Hawks? Based on what we've seen so far (Orlando bitch slapping them in the playoffs and winning 9 of the last 10) why lay more than 1 or 2 units on them? Sometimes the best bet is to no bet at all.

People think this is the game Atlanta wins but this is the game Orlando can steal IMO. There is absolutely nothing that points to an Atlanta win here. Nothing. Taking ATL is purely a hunch. BOL though.
