I think the Spurs are done. They won't win a game in PHX and most likely will drop 1 at home to the Suns. Also keep in mind the Spurs have no played poorly they are just getting beat by a superior team. The Spurs did not not play particularly well all year against the better teams in reg. season and then they had the benefit of playing a over hyped #2 seed that consisted of posers that they handled and now all of a sudden people think the Spurs are back??
sayin this for awhile now and finally I bring it up when the spurs lose: What happens what you bench tony Parker?

Why Spurs take #3 and probably#4
If anyone has been watching the NBA in these playoffs, the 2010 season, or basketball their whole life... a few things should be abundantly clear.
1. Home Court MATTERS - Spurs haven't lost on home court, yet were smacked around by Dallas in Dallas - so who cares if they didn't lose in PHX by 1 point.
2. We know how the refs work in the NBA - you think the SUNS will get to the line more than the SPURS in San Antonio???? Every ticky tack call last night went against the SPURS, and thats just how it works for the home team in the NBA.
3. Channing Frye isn't going to go 5-6 from beyond the arc in San Antonio - He just isn't that good on the road - in fact some people tell me he is awful.
4. Take my 3rd point and apply it to the rest of the bench - Because without the energy and buzz of the local faithful, the Suns bench just wont be that strong on D.
5. Its the ****ING spurs people - All year they have been written off, but keep coming up strong. I love the SUNS, figure they win this series, and Im crossing my fingers they beat the Lakers... but if you think that the Spurs will become the 2nd team this playoffs, behind the Bobcats to swept, well you really don't know dick.Comment -

I am a little surprised by the 6.5 line on the Spurs this morning. Obviously the books knows the public is going to be creaming over the Spurs for game 3. So yea, Suns covering wouldn't be a shocker. ML isn't a bad option here. I think even the biggest Spurs pessimists will agree game 3 seems as legit as you can get, so ML bet between 280-300 isn't a bad draw.Comment -

Yes, I know you have. The Spurs are not the same. Sure popovich is reveared as a good coach by many but he won championships with very good players in there prime at the time. Also, Parker may be coming off the bench but he is playing starter's minutes.
I am not sure the change will be made in game 3 because if he does that he admits he was wrong. Coaches have ego's and never want to admit that.Comment -
pops is frustrated with the first 2 games and it showed in his press conference. he doesnt have any lock down defenders like horry and bowen to guard the suns kick out 3's. the spurs are old and washed up and it showed yesterday- they cant play much better than they did in game 2. they shot 51% to 34% by halftime and the game was tied
time for the spurs to move on- they should win game 3 but thats it for them. there is no move pop can do to stem the tide in this series for more than 1 game. the suns have too many weapons and now play solid defense to go along with it and them not having lopez is actually working out for them so they can run more.

He is wrong. Whatever it takes to win, that should be done. It doesn't matter if Parker is playing starter minutes; Nash is exploiting George Hill from the get go and setting the tone early. Don't underestimate the importance of early control; Parker has always been the strongest mental player for the Spurs besides Duncan, he's a much better player than Ginobli too.
Hill will play better at home, but If Pop doesn't start Parker game 3, I'm going to be shocked and most likely my 2 game straight bet will lose.Cause Sleep is the Cousin of DeathComment -

i was the idiot picking the spurs in game 2 thinking things would stay to form, but i am not sure now. i have the suns for the series so i am just gonna try and churn out some profits from this sries. for me spurs moneyline game 3 even though i hate doing that; they lose game 3 bye bye. good luck!Comment -
