right, and that was before game one, which has already happened, and now it's adjustment time...which would be pop's specialty. come on man, you can't look at each of these games the same, otherwise you'd just bet the same team each game.

SO SK you would rather have Gentry than pops after losing the first game?

I went with the Suns minus the points. I don't know if they will let the Spurs keep hanging around in this one. Good Luck!

That's fair. However, when I capped this series, the biggest factor BY FAR to me was home court advantage. If either team wins an away game it will be by the narrowest of margins. Come game 3, regardless of the outcome tonight, I'll be leaning heavily towards the Spurs winning in San Antonio.

No, but the Suns at home require less coaching ability to win. They just keep on coming offensively. The Spurs will make some adjustments, but this game comes down to simple factors. If they allow the Suns to score 100 at home, they're going to lose. If they let the Suns run, they're going to lose. They have to play Spurs basketball if they hope to win in Phoenix, and the Suns are very good at disrupting teams that try to slow the pace.

Nash didn't play perfect at all. Nash is better off getting 15 pts and 15 dimes then scoring like he did in game 1 and turning the ball over. The Suns don't win games with Nash scoring JJ- they just had the support from Rich and Amare that game.
By the way, to all you that didn't know, Gentry served as Pop's assistant for awhile. So although Pop is a better coach, Gentry knows exactly Pop's tactics and Pop doesn't really know how Gentry thinks.

Not enough to just say "in my opinion..."?
If your capping of this game consists of the information you've provided above, ie: a vague comment about how the NBA playoffs in general are supposed to work (except last night's counter-example of course , and the Magic-Bobcats, and the Celtics-Heat, and the Cavs-Bulls, etc...) then I can't take your decision on this game too seriously.
Spurs could win tonight, but my money is on the home team in this series...
i don't cap ever, i pick based on what i see, what i know and what others say. my comment on the nba playoffs was vague i agree. i have been doing this for 20 years and i know what i am doing. i am not perfect nor do i win every game, but i know a shitload of stuff and in game 2 of a lot of series in this type of situation road team wins here, it will be evenly matched possibly 7 games you can bank on it. if you think a team like the suns will just chalk up the first two games ho-hum you don't know what you are doing or talking about.

Never said ho-hum. I expect this series to be tied at 2 after the first four games are done, most likely after 4 home team wins. We'll see.

sk you're probably right. i was a game too early on the spurs, but they won't go down quietly. they're gonna be embarrassed as fukk that the suns got to them like this two games in a row, and they will use home court to even it up.

suns will win this series in 6 max, people have way too much faith in the spurs because of what they did 3 years ago, phoenix can just run all day on the slow ass spurs, the suns also have much better chemistry than they have had in years they are dangerous
