ATL can win by DD at home but can also lose just as easily on the road by DD as well..ORL plays like beasts against them and especially at home..i like ORL -9 at home, however if was at ATL, id def take ATL on it..just my .02

Atlanta is fade material tonight. 7 game series with only one day off before starting their next series on the road shouts loud and clear that they will drop off. I odn't know what the stats are but I can only imagine it isn't very good for teams in game 1's who won in 2 nights earlier.

Orlando has the potential to win this big. I know that basketball/hockey are 2 different sports but look at how the Canadiens played in game 1 vs. Pittsburg after beating the Caps in 7. They beat Washington 2-1 then 2 nights later play game 1 and lose 6-3.

I keep hearing one side talk about how Orlando will be rusty, and then the other side talk about how Orlando will be rested. And how Atlanta is either at a disdavantage or an advantage because of the 7 games series before this one. Why doesn't someone go out and actually research the historical trends of this situation as opposed to just speculating?

careful here guys...Orlando with the rust and ATL had to buckle down and play excellent basketball to advance...they just may continue to play great in game 1 and it will come down to the finish no one wins by more than 5.

seems like people are making this the main issue to determine their picks for this game. rust vs rest, momentum vs. fatigue, does anyone have data for or against on this, otherwise it's a wash for me and I wont even consider it. Though I would think any team would appreciate the time off. Stats, historically data, and line movement all point to a blow out. The line came out at 7.5, books opened at 8.5, and bcuz the pubs are still hammering orlando it's now at 9.5. I think the public got this one right and the books know it, but the line is just to damn high. It's almost like the books are trying to stop people from betting on orlando. hmmm.
