Josh Smith suffered a gash over his right eye after being struck by a hard screen set by Kurt Thomas in Game 5 Wednesday against the Bucks. He headed to the locker room to get five stitches, but returned to the court with a bandage covering the wound. He is probable to play tonight.

Ron Artest suffered a bruised shoulder in Game 5 Tuesday against the Thunder but didn?t let anyone know until Thursday. He wore an ace bandage and support shirt on his left shoulder during Thursday's practice but said his shoulder was fine. Artest will play tonight.
Didier Ilunga-Mbenga did not play in Game 5 Tuesday against the Thunder after undergoing further laser eye surgery on Sunday to repair a retinal hole he suffered after getting poked in the eye by a teammate during practice. He is expected to wear protective goggles when he does return, probably tonight.

Nene sprained his left knee with five minutes remaining in the first half of Wednesday's Game 5 against the Jazz. He was working under the basket when Carlos Boozer's left leg slammed into his. An MRI revealed no ligament damage but he will not play in Game 6 on Friday.

Andrei Kirilenko has undergone platelet-rich plasma therapy and will likely miss Utah's first round series against the Nuggets with three unique strains in his left calf. He said he's holding out some hope of returning for Game 7 Sunday if the series stretches that far or, if they advance, the first game of the second-round series.
