    Celtics @ Heat
Going into this series most people were predicting a very close matchup between these two teams. The Celtics proved to be the more complete team in the first two games, and I think its very safe to say Miami won't be able to pull this series out down 2-0, with two road games left. Wade can't carry the load himself, and Miami simply doesn't have the firepower to win 4 games, especially in Boston.

On a normal night Miami is not 4 points better than BOS, even at home. Miami has actually lost 5 straight to Boston, and was beat twice at home. But we have seen what teams are capable of when they are down 0-2, at home. Miami especially is a very strong home team, so I would expect the same gutsy effort that we saw from CHI and OKC last night.

Vegas knows the public wants to back Miami in this spot, so the 4 point spread is slightly inflated, but it still has to be the play for tonight. I won't go too big on this considering Vegas is hiking up the line, but I still don't want to bet against Miami in this spot. Count me in for 1.8 to win 1 on the Miami ML.

One additional note: it looks like I might have made a bad read on the public's perception on this game. If I am getting good information, the public is currently hammering Boston in this game, yet the line has moved from Miami -3 to Miami -4. This makes me like this game even more, and I might throw on one more unit before tip off.

After how the Heat played in game 2. I'm liking them to cover -4. BOS is weak on the road, and D-wade will not let them get swept.

I wouldnt call celtics (26-15 away) weak on the road. But then again this is NBA, where AMAZING happens, Miami will win.

Boston is not weak on the road, they were actually the second best road team in the league.

Like Miami 1Q...don't know what to think about the Celt's (to me) surprising performances, but Miami isn't outclassed and will at least throw the first punch.

I can't see J O Neal play as bad as he did in Boston, they definitely need him to play better to get a win here. Time for Wade to totally take over.

I did like Boston in the past two games but it seems like it's time for a let down, anyway I can't see them sweeping Miami. KG will be on a mission though. Miami has scored 153 points over two games, it just has to change.

I was thinking the ame thing but the 1sq Q line is -1? It should be -1.5 at least because first H and 1stQ lines are never an exact fraction of the line for the game. For instance if a team is -10 the first H line is always -5.5 and 1st Q would be -3. The -1 is the only thing preventing me from pounding it.

The 1Q could be won by either team. I like the OVER in the 1Q than either side.

Best record ya, had some bad losses if I remember correctly. That was the regular session, this is the playoffs. I still like wade to take over this one.

SparJMU I can't PM yet, but any Tips are much appreciated. Thanks

IMO, this line was built for early sharp action to pound the Heat. I made a fair line for this game at Miami -4, so I expected the line to move in that direction. However, I'd be surprised if it doesn't recoil a bit before game time. I'm strongly behind the Celtics to put their foot down tonight, being very aware that if they don't take one in Miami, the Heat are still very much in the series. They also know that containing Wade is very difficult, whereas controlling the rest of the team is the far easier route. Wade can't win it alone, so a Heat victory depends heavily on the supporting cast stepping up against a Boston defense that has specifically targeted containing them rather than focusing heavily on Wade.

My strongest plays for the game are actually on the 1Q O46 & 1H O92.

SuicideKings, total respect for your post, I appreciate the honest feedback from someone as experienced as yourself.

I put some more thought into the line movement and I compare it to the OKC game last night. When Joe Public saw Boston getting points tonight, with Garnett back in the lineup, they jumped all over it. And I agree with you that sharp action pounded the Heat which caused the line to move from -3 to -4. Much like how the public backed the defending champs last night in OKC, yet the sharp money moved the line up to 4. Last night I wanted to be on the sharp side with OKC and tonight I want to be on the sharp side with MIA.

I think I will stick to my gut here and take Miami, but your write up might prevent me from laying down that second unit later tonight. With the combined playoff experienec on that Boston roster I am sure this game could go either way.

That's the thing about the playoffs. The spreads are tight and you can make a convincing argument for either side in most games. The most important thing is to play your game. GL tonight
