What are secrets you use in NBA betting?

Hello everyone,,
Not sure what this subs stance is on gambling or DFS but I thought it'd be cool to hear what other people use in their logic, either anecdotal, hypothetical, or stats based.For example, I always like to choose star players when they play in Madison Square Garden or against the Lakers in Staples because they try to show out for the celebrities. Also, I never like to choose players when they play in Miami because they go out the night before.Interested to see what opinions this sub has on this topic.

i'm more interested in game wagering.

but the miami hangover is very interesting. is there a usual pattern between playing road at miami/orlando/other (atlanta?) (or could just be one off road game)

a few things i think have worked in the past (maybe more the distant past),

teams do badly first game back from major road trip. they run on adrenaline and live in hotels on the road. all kinds of problems when they get home and they probably energy crash too.

teams do well initially without star player but then it degrades.

teams don't do well when star player returns and then get back to normal in time.

for these star player plays, i mean lengthy absences not sitting out one game. although i'd love to see a team's ATS record without a star player (assuming you get the line that discounts he won't play)
