Utah/Denver thoughts and opinions for friday

Anybody thinking about jumping aboard the nugget train saturday night? Few reasons why i'm leaning towards a denver victory. Always like to back the nuggets after they've taken a hefty beating, home court advantage with a reputable record, boozer is questionable for the jazz and last night vs phoenix was just down right messy.

On another note for reasons yet to be justified boston -4.5 is really taking my fancy. They have choked the past few games, and looked unmotivated and careless when playing. Yet i feel that is exactly why they are the right play.

Love Boston in this spot myself. Backs to the walls, team is on the decline & they are being picked as the 1st round upset this year.

I don't like what I have been seeing from Denver this whole year. I don't see the chip on their shoulder or that killer instinct. Utah plays in thin air so that whole angle isn't going to work in this series when the games are in Denver. I think Utah ML game 1 has a ton of value. They are simply playing better right now and are more healthy.

I like Denver in this game as well, I think they'll be more motivated after a couple days off. Personally I like the Heat for their series (not necessarily this game), I just don't think the Celtics can do it this year.

Playoff home teams usually come out strong on their 1st game. If Boozer is not 100% healthy, the Nuggets will have a feasting day in the paint. Making this an easy cover for the Nuggets.

Im with Utah in game 1. Like someone else said very good value and they are playing better ball right now with some injuries on the roster. Denver has looked very unimpressive even with the return of kmart. Utah has been playing with injuries and still beating better teams. If Utah can get there starters healthy by saturday they have a very good chance to win in Denver. Billups looks like age has caught up with him as he doesn't seem as deadly of a shooter as he once was. Carmelo is also off with his jump shot as of late. On the flip side deron williams is making his run at being the best pg in the league, Boozer has been a force inside the paint, and with the recent return of Okur and now Kirilenko they have plenty of weapons at there disposal.

You make a good arguement syn^, and having watched denver the past few games their on court troubles are noticeable. But having home court advantage and going through a rough period presents a perfect opportunity to turn the game around. Looking forward to a good game, and a great offensive drive by the nuggets in this one.
