Kobe is shooting only 30% in his last 3 games while only averaging 3.7 assist per game. Nice to see Mr. Clutch stepping up his game down the stretch

He's been using that excuse all year. He refused to sit out and get it worked out, so it's his own fault. He's costing the Lakers big time recently and I think there's a very good chance they will be pushed to the brink in the first round.

he looks really stupid for doing that, it's the 2nd injury to shooting hand since 2008 or 2009 forgot the year, he should sit his ass down to heal himself, it could really cost the lakers this year for his injury, and he still plans to play in the team USA

He has an avulsion fracture, it's not nearly as bad as it sounds. I actually have one myself right now that happened nearly 2 months ago and hasn't fully healed. Only certain movements hurt at all and even then it's not awful.
No excuses for Kobe, he's just playing like shit.

It certainly doesn't help it heal, but there's no risk of breaking it worse. Essentially the injury is a chip of bone that gets pulled off by a ligament.

I'll make a bold predection... With or without a healthy/good Kobe LA is not repeating.. There problems go beyond just Kobe.
The bold predection part was supposed to be a joke.
If LA was able to skirt thru the West no way they beat the Cavs/Majic for tital this year.

really don't know how your boys or the Majic don't win it this year. I only see the Mavs as any threat at all coming out of the West... that is if they make it. Me personally.. would love to see OKC but I realize that is a 100-1 chance, but shit does happen. Would love to see Durant in the Finals.

I think the Jazz stand a chance as well if healthy. The Cavs and Magic have much more depth than anyone though which makes them more adaptable.

Yeah, Lakers have been painful to watch in these last few weeks. Kobe is taking way too many shots and missing the kind of shots you expect him to make. He may surprise us all and come good and tear teams apart in the playoffs but I really think the Lakers are going to have thier hands full getting out of the West alive.

they should play harder to blow their opponents out whenever they can so that kobe and the rest of the starters can rest

They could be out of the playoff in the 1st round if they have the misfortune of facing either OKC or Portland while Bynum is still out.

kobe needs to stop shooting so damn much, let Pau eat in the post and chill out he needs to shoot 15 times or less a game that's when LA is at their best, 20 or less shots but id like to see 15 or less the way hes been running now

I don't see how people think those teams are more dangerous than San Antonio but I am glad they do so I will get good odds with the Spurs.

Kobe and the Lakers will be ready come playoff time. They just played lackadaisical against Portland yesterday. Can we just fast forward to NBA Finals Lakers vs. Cavs...

I'm not saying Portland and OKC are better than San Antonio. My assumption is that San Antonio won't end in the 8th Western spot.
