Wait to see waht the halftime line is. You need Portland to make a run in order to do a real hedge.

You need to Halftime line to correlate to the actual game line. So hypothetically Portland needs the lead, by about 1pt, then be favored by 4.

But I dont see that happening.

Just root for portland to make a major run, B4 halftime. Then see if the Halftime line correlate to the actual game spread.

No they didnt finish yet.

Dude there is no real hedge. If you took the Mavs, they could only lose by 2 points, so that no good.

just wait it out. I think you are on the right side, and you are on the side with the sharps. Sharp bets drove this line movement.

Long game, and portland should pull off the cover.

The line is now +5 on the Mavs, meaning that my hedge would only go bad if the Blazers won the game by 3 or 4 points. Correct?

But this game more action on the side of the Mavs, but the spread grew with the portland.

I disagree, and think the line was driven by sharp betting action on the Blazers.

I'm taking the Blazers -5 2ndH.

I guess my hands are tied since it's very possible the Blazers will win by 3 or 4 points, which would lose me the 5 teamer in heartbreaking fashion anyway. God, I just want this to hit so badly. I've never hit a true 5 teamer before

I thank you for your opinion, but from a pure handicapping standpoint getting Portland -1.5 for the game is to hard to pass up.

Neither team lets you get easy lay-ups, and force you to take contested jumpers.

This is a far cry from the Warriors/Knicks/Clippers/Celtics/Rockets/etc.

Both teams will be hard to beat at home in the playoffs.
