    NBA Injuries Report 4/02
    Miami
    Jermaine O'Neal missed Wednesday's game against the Pistons with a hyperextended knee and hopes to practice Thursday. He is not expected to play tonight against the Pacers.

    Indiana
    No injuries reported for this team.

    Milwaukee
    Carlos Delfino who was taken from the court on a stretcher after a blow to the head last Friday night against the Heat did not play Tuesday against the Clippers or Wendesday against the Cavaliers as precaution, even though X-rays of his head and neck came back negative.

    Charlotte
    Stephen Jackson strained his hamstring in practice on Tuesday and was limping during and after Wednesday's win over the Sixers.
    Nazr Mohammed did not play Wednesday against the Sixers while he continues to nurse backs spasms.
    Tyrus Thomas did not play Wednesday against the Sixers with a left ankle sprain he originally suffered last Wednesday against the Timberwolves. he questionable for paying tonight.

    Chicago
    Luol Deng is expected to play in Friday night's game against the Wizards. He participated in the Bulls shoot around this morning and coach Vinny Del Negro said that Deng will give him a few minutes tonight.
    Kirk Hinrich had a little limp in his step during the Bulls Friday shoot around however he told reporters that he can play.

    Washington
    Randy Foye is likely done for the season after an MRI exam revealed a torn ligament in his left (non-shooting) wrist.
    Al Thornton did not play Wednesday against the Hornets with a strained right hip flexor and remains questionable Friday against the Bulls.

    Houston
    David Andersen did not play Wednesday against the Spurs with a sore back and remains questionable Friday against the Celtics.
    Shane Battier will miss at least another week of action with an MCL sprain in his left knee.
    Jared Jeffries will miss at least another week with a strained left Achilles.
    Kevin Martin missed his fourth straight game Wednesday against the Spurs with a sprained left shoulder. He is questionable for playing tonight.

    Boston
    No injuries reported for this team.

    New Orleans
    Ike Diogu. Three months after having season-ending microfracture surgery on his knee, Diogu is working extensively to strengthen his knee to help with the recovery process. He's still a few months away from running.


    Memphis
    Ronnie Brewer's hamstring injury will keep him out of the line up for the rest of the season.
    Marc Gasol will miss the remainder of the season with a partially torn neck muscle. He could not shoot or grab rebounds due to the injury during his last game against the Mavericks.
    Steven Hunter has left the team and will not return for the rest of the season to rehab a knee injury in Chicago with personal trainers.

    Phoenix
    Robin Lopez, who has bulging disks in his back, will undergo a conservative treatment of medication, rest and rehab and will be re-evaluated April 12.
    Steve Nash is questionable Friday against the Pistons due to a sore back.

    Detroit
    Richard Hamilton tweaked his ankle late during Sunday's game against the Bulls and did not play Wednesday against the Heat. he is questionable for playing tonight against the Suns.
    Jason Maxiell suffered a strained back in the first quarter of Wednesday's game against the Heat. He left the game and did not return. X-rays came back negative.

    Atlanta
    No injuries reported for this team.

    Cleveland
    Shaquille O'Neal's thumb rehab is progressing quickly and it looks like he may be able to return before the end of the regular season after having had surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb.
    Anderson Varejao did not play Sunday against the Kings with a sore hamstring and did not play Wednesday against the Bucks as precaution. There's a good chance Varejao will sit out through Friday's game against the Hawks.

    Orlando
    Anthony Johnson didn't practice on Tuesday because of the flu and did not play Thursday against the Mavericks.

    San Antonio
    Tony Parker suffered a fractured fourth metacarpal in his right hand and is now able to shoot free throws but still can't dribble or catch a pass. He is healing quicker than anticipated, but he is not expected to be cleared until the tail end of the regular season at the earliest.

    New York
    Wilson Chandler will miss the remainder of the season with a left groin injury.
    Eddy Curry will miss the remainder of the season after an MRI revealed a torn myofascial band in his right calf.
    Al Harrington left Wednesday's game against the Trail Blazers in the third quarter with a severely sprained left ankle and could be shut down for the remainder of the season.
    Tracy McGrady is questionable Friday against the Warriors with a knee injury.

    Golden State
    Monta Ellis has missed the last two games due to the flu and has been downgraded to doubtful to play Friday against the Knicks.
    Chris Hunter took a shot to the nose Wednesday against the Jazz in the second quarter and remains questionable Friday against the Knicks.
    Ronny Turiaf missed Wednesday's game against the Jazz with the flu and remains questionable Friday against the Knicks.

    Utah
    Andrei Kirilenko did not play Wednesday against the Warriors after an MRI taken Sunday confirmed he has a strained left calf. He won't travel to L.A. for Friday's game against the Lakers.

    L.A. Lakers
    Ron Artest jammed his ankle March 27 against the Rockets and the pain seems to be lingering. He is expected to play Friday against the Jazz.
    Andrew Bynum can't walk without feeling pain and the earliest he could return is April 8 against the Nuggets.
    Luke Walton hasn't played since February 10 with a pinched nerve in his back. He will return to full-contact practice on Thursday and plans to return to the Lakers lineup on Sunday.
