Games for 4/03
It's not NBA games, but there are only 3 college games left so I'm gonna post my plays a bit early

Duke -2
West Virginia beat Kentucky by shooting 3-pointers effectively. They gave up the inside game and starting shooting from the perimeter. That's great and all, but Duke has the #1 adjusted ranking in 3 point defense. If they come inside, they have to contend with 7'1" Zoubek and their two 6'10" forwards.

Speaking of size, West Virginia is a great offensive rebounding team but again they don't match up well vs Duke. Duke is much bigger than West Virginia on the inside. I can't see them having many second chance opportunities.

If Duke doesn't play like complete crap (Like they did vs Purdue for 3/4th of the game) - West Virginia has to be flawless, shoot effectively, and quite frankly get a couple of breaks fall their way.

Duke wins 79-75

Butler -1
Butler is the home team here and is NOT a Cinderella. Not much of a write up here. Michigan State has an amazing coach, but they've had a relatively easy road to the Final Four. It's not easy to win 4 straight, but it gets easier when you have to defeat New Mexico State, Maryland, No.Iowa, and the vastly overrated Tennessee squad. Not really sold on any of them as fierce competition. Butler has shown elite defense vs Syracuse, Kansas State, and a pretty good UTEP team. Michigan State has the experience to deal with the crowd, but Butler is rolling. Not as confident as my Duke pick, but I like the Bulldogs here.

mv, i tried asking you this in a ncaa thread but not sure if you responded (if you did already my bad)....with as high as your projecting the duke/wvu game why even mess with a side as you got it sailing over the posted total....not sure i see that much scoring just curious to your thoughts on it....either way gl with your plays

My mistake, I didn't see that post. To be honest with you, I've never liked betting Over/Unders. I have no real reason to not like them- I've never really made/lost any money on them but I've always preferred to sticking with spreads. I've always personally find out easier for me to try and pick and winner rather than the total points. It's always seemed to me that there is much more margin for error in total points, because of individual bad shooting nights, or variables such as a team taking a big lead so the opposing team picks up their tempo and starts launching 3's, a big man getting in foul trouble early changing the entire offensive gameplan, or numerous other unforseen things. As for the Duke game, I may be wrong predicting such a high score, but I feel rather confident thinking Duke is going to win. Not so much with the Over.
