I agree. They just got blown out by OKC really badly. I think they win this by 15

I smell money here... Take the OVER (201.5) when both teams don't care about the results.

I'd take the Lakers here. Maybe buy a point or two, just in case the Lakers slide a bit. I still think that the Lakers will play this easy game well to lock up home-court adv. Lakers will win by double digs. Hornets don't have any reason to play period, people probably aren't even going to be at this game.

im a bit confused.. for the people saying stop betting lakers.. do you mean not to even bet them ML?
the fact that they "are not playing for anything" means they are ganna play shitty?.. kobe will not "try" in this game. lamar, n paul are just ganna jog up and down the court.. maybe let cp drive in all day or d.west shoot jumpers galore?
I understand what you guys mean when you say the lakers really aren't playing for much but still.. this is a professional basketball team and probably the best in the nba.
Any1 have a solid reason why its not safe to bet them ML?

I don't see why Lakers would bother winning this one by 6+ ? Or even win it at all. They are not bouncing back from a loss, they did that against Houston destroying them in the 2nd qtr proving who's the better team.
Hornets coming off a humiliating 1st half and loss. Look for them to be the team bouncing back and not the Lakers.
Openly played game with perhaps the over being a good bet, I think?
But more importantly I see Hornets covering this number in an evenly played game all the way. If Hornets show up in 2nd half like they did the other day, then they might win it after a good 2nd half performance.
Hornets also a +5.5 underdog at home. I love this number on home underdogs. The other day they cashed 3 out of 3 and 2 of them winning SU and the third being the craptors losing by 1. Correct me if I am wrong here, but I seem to remember this. Indiana +5.5, Philly +5.5 and the Craptors +5.5.
Once again, please do correct me if I am wrong here.

Just a polite correction. They haven't clinched #1 yet. Their magic number to clinch is 4 I believe. They've still got motivation to play and win tonight would give them a season sweep of the Hornets.
One last add....New Orleans has lost four of their last five games by double-digits.

Does lakers care about getting to 60 wins? That number is in their mind, but is it enough motivation for them to continue playing hard.

Looks like the Lakers may have the U Haul out front. Down 33 -22 with about 9 mins left in the 2nd qtr.
