    Golden State +5.5
Monta Ellis out and going to ride the trend to bet WITH the team missing an injured star.

It truly is an amazing trend that has been hitting at about 75% for about four years. I know that sounds toutish and an exaggeration, but I am not here to sell anything.

In the NBA, if a star player (or someone important) is out, bet WITH that team in the first game he is out regardless of what the line does. I don't get it and I don't care.

Some guys I know will play the first few games they are out. Tonight, I am going to be on Utah. They won outright the other day with him not playing (doubtful) and are 10-4 ATS with him out of the lineup. I am going to make a small play if only because I can't stand the Knicks and I like having extra reasons to root against them.
