Lot of good cappers here, the only problem is choosing the best on NFL, the best on NBA, the best on MLB and so on...
If you have enough time this is the best method....
Unfortunately i can't follow this method (THE BEST): I'm from Europe and I can't wait for bets 5 minutes before starting time, 2nd half, 3rd quarter and so on...
I have my stas method (different according to the sports) and I'm folowing him, despite all other data

Probably you can't believe it, but I have never seen a NFL, NBA, MLB, WNBA etc etc match, I don't know rules about American sports, but I'm betting them for a lot of reasons:

1) no tie
2) high points (soccer: if you fail a penalty, result upset; seldom on USA sposts, except for refs thieves, as NBA years ago)
3) lots of historical available data on Internet (so you can build stats, if you know stat)
4) last but not least: when Usa sports are going, I'm sleeping.. I have not to check results every minutes, I live my life . In the morning I awake, I make breakfast for the famile and, waiting for espresso is ready, I check my bets... so simple

PS: IMO the best sport to see is Rugby (Six Nation)
