The game was set up twice in the last 45 seconds for WAS to tie the game with a three. The first attempt missed, the teams traded baskets, and then WAS had their second chance and hit the 3pt shot. Then, with 8.5 seconds left, despite minimal defensive pressure from WAS, Charlotte just held the ball and threw up a contested 3 at the buzzer instead of trying to move the ball and take it to the rim.
