    Missing: The Lakers' Defense
Are you fvcking kidding me? You want to be considered the team to beat and you give up 121 points to a team of scrubs? The don't have a single interior threat and yet the Lakers got destroyed on the defensive end. It made me sick to my stomach watching these guys hesitate when going to close out on shooters. Are you kidding me? It's the Warriors! Of course they are going to shoot it!

This game is a prime example of why I hate Phil Jackson. Wtf were the Lakers doing pushing the tempo? They should have walked the ball up the court every damn possession, threw it inside to Gasol/Bynum/Odom, then walked to the other end 2 points richer.

I was not, and have not been impressed with the Lakers at all this season. I guess I would be if I were a casual fan, but unfortunately I know every line, for every game, every night. It's not their fault, it's mine. My expectations are way too high.

The played dumb tonight, simple as that. The gameplan should have been play slow and pound it inside. They got away from both of those way too often.

Oh yeah, and their defense was nothing short of pathetic.

They need to take more pride in their defensive performance, they may have the no. 1 seed just about wrapped up but come on seriously. 121 points?

Willy relax we both lost on the under but obviously you dont know the lakers like i do. I told you in option 2 they might allow state to hit jumpers all night long. Go onto LA times and watch the interviews i realized now that they werent gonna play defense tonight

Completey agree. Bynum and Gasol were completely unstoppable inside. Even when they missed they rebounded and scored. With the huge mismatches on the inside there is no reason they shouldn't have won this game by 20+. I had the Warriors, and was thrilled anytime the Lakers cranked a 3 or let Kobe drive and try to score, or take a jumper. The Warriors had zero chance defending the bigs inside.

Agree 100%. Didn't understand the gameplan. Don't mean to sound cliche but the Lakers got sucked into the Warriors type of game. Run up and down the court, throw up shots anytime someone is a tiny bit open, and play lackluster pickup basketball defense. I just don't get it. Why not put more emphasis on getting back on defense and playing halfcourt offense. Did anyone notice when they slowed it down and got the ball down low to Bynum or Gasol that it was an easy 2 points?

LB, I watched interviews of Phil talking about how they need to play slow this time and just go inside time and time again. However, they didn't do that at all. Phil is overrated, especially in the regular season. It's one thing to not cover, it's another to just play dumb basketball.

LB, I've said it before and I'll say it again, Tex Winters is a genius, Phil Jackson is not. I was a Bulls fan in the 90s and didn't think much of him then either. No coach has been more fortunate in terms of the talent he's been handed in recent times than Phil.

I don't count success solely on rings, it's gotta be put in context. I mean cmon, Horry has what, 7 rings? There are plenty of coaches in the league who could win rings with Jordan/Pippen, Shaq/Kobe, Kobe/Gasol.

I'm feelin a different game plan tomorrow vs kings..I'm only going with Lakers and the under VS Kings..public seems to be pounding Kings early. Leaning heat and memphis. GL on your plays 2morrow Will. First half Cavs should be a good play tomorrow in my opinion. Was up 39 units in 7 days. Lost 9 of those units today. Was waiting for a day like today..

Both Celtics and Lakers seem old of late. When the run into a team playing high energy ball, they seem to raise the white flag. I see a Dallas vs. Orlando Finals this year. That said, I pissed my pants today taking Lakers ML, especially in the final seconds. They barely beat a bunch of D-leaguers today + a cold monte ellis.
