i could have told you that..as a celtics fan in boston i know at this point and time never to go anywhere near a line like that, they only come out to play hard for a full 48 against the big games

you always gotta figure out the odds of a situation occurring and then finding out if the return on your bet is worth it.

For example, say Boston's ML is -900 and they're chance of winning is 88%. That means they'll lose 12% of the time (sounds pretty good) but your winnings only cover 10% (since you're risking 900 to win 100). In other words, in the long run, you'll be down 2% if you play this situation.

Now, obviously the tricky part is figuring out their "true" chance of winning. It really is impossible but you can use accurate systems and certain indicators to give you a good estimation.

Good equation, the question is how do you figure out the TRUE percentages given the many ever changing different variables, and human factor?

The bottom line is you CANNOT. This is why it is actually possible to win in the long run with sports betting if you are knowledgeable and disciplined.

The above equation is also why you cannot win at casino games in the long run.

yeah man it was a nightmare, i didnt bet them against nj cause it was obvious they could loose that game, and didnt take them last night cause again all the signs were there that they were gonna **** up

but then i loose this stupid bet and trying to chase, yes i am an idiot

so i knew celts will fall behind, i wait until the odds for the ml will increase and then pounded them on the livebet to cover my lost bet, man they had me so pissed of i had the bet written off and closed the browser, thank god they came back to win, it was so improbable
