    impossible loss?
On PHX 1H -7. A rare NBA side for me. I much prefer totals. Suns up by 12 points, with 11 seconds left in the half. If this were live betting, this would be the time to bet the farm. Guaranteed winner.

With the Pacers inbounding the ball from their own backcourt - with 11 seconds on the clock - the Suns gave up not one, but two uncontested 3 pt shots. From a 12 pt lead to a 6 pt lead...

Same thing happened a couple of seasons ago. Also with Nash not handling the inbound pass. I don't mind the loss as much as the fact that I have to live with the memory. Somehow these type of losses are impossible to forget.

Feel your pain. I would have walked out of the room to celebrate too early.

It's amazing how quickly things can change in a game. I know I've had a few experiences like that.

I looked up the time record on NBA.com. The two 3-pointers last night were in the final 2.8 seconds...

You know when people say 'I don't believe it', as an expression? When this happened I really didn't believe it.

Of course I've had some crazy losses. Part of the deal. But this one has to be the most improbable. NBA.com has it as a 'bad pass' by Amundson. It wasn't. Watson stole the ball from Nash, who is playing injured (and showing it). Watson could have shot the two. Almost everybody would have. But this dude dribbled to the outside of the circle and launched a three. Nash didn't even follow him. He just stood there, expecting the end of the half.

According to NBA.com the steal took place with 0.9 seconds left. And he shot the ball with 0.1 second, so the dribble to the outside of the circle supposedly only took 0.8 seconds... I don't remember how many times he dribbled it, two or three I think, and then he also took his time to shoot the three. He didn't just get there and launch it, but looked at the rim and measured his distance. NBA.com is the final authority for settling bets, so I would love their explanation for the final 0.9 seconds.

I contacted the NBA and asked them to look at the tape for the final 0.9 seconds. lol

Will post it here if they get back to me about it. Doubt it, but you never know.

Just watched it, he shot the ball with more than 0.1 sec.. He stole it with more than a second left in the clock. Sick though.
