Okay so after inspiration from LB, Mex, Dex, and a few other sharps here, I have decided to start my own thread. I look up to these guys and have learned a lot from their handicapping to make what I think are "wise" choices now.

Tail or Fade whatever it is feel free to leave thanks and criticisms I can handle it
I'll do my best to do write ups a night before that way I can get a few reviews prior to tip off.

Everyone pounds the Laker's on the road or at home doesnt matter. Why?? They haven't covered for the past 2 weeks till yesterday when they played against a broken Pacers team. Kobe went 5-14 and had a total of 24 pts.. Lately Kobe hasn't been playing well since his return from the injury. He is yet to have a break out game. On the other hand we look at D Wade who is playing in what he calls his "house" Against the Warriors he shot 15-23 and had a total of 35 pts. Fisher and Kobe have been in bad streaks shooting lately and I don't see Kobe having a break out game against the Miami Heat who they have always had trouble with even at home in December. The Heat and D wade are fighting to secure 8th seed in the East right now and will put up a fight against the Lakers. The Heat are 2 games behind number 5 and believe me D Wade will do whatever he has to do to avoid LBJ 1st round of playoffs.

The Lakers may be 1-5-1 ATS since the ASB, but that included Boston, Dallas, Memphis, and Denver. They still managed to go 5-2 SU in that time. Miami is hardly much better, going 3-5 ATS, with one of those wins being as +10 dogs in Dallas (where the Lakers were +1.5 dogs).

For me, this is going to be Lakers and the Over. The Heat just aren't the team that they have been in the past.

I like the Lakers as well but Kobe and Fish have been in dry spouts... They are having a hard time making shots at home and its not going to get any easier on the road. They are just too unpredictable the way they have been playing lately. I would rather take the points.

I used to shy away from Totals as well, but there's a very good reason why the limits on totals are 1/4 of what they allow on spreads. Even if you're just playing it on paper to start, spend some time on them.

Magic have been on a roll. Dominating teams 4-5 of their last games by at least 15.. This won't stop when they visit the Nets. I don't believe the Magic will be high off the dominating win off Golden State.. They will continue the roll and crush the nets tomorrow.

Suns were held down by portland yesterday. Steve Nash said that he wanted to push the tempo 2nd half but was unable to. Golden state has recently allowed 150 pts in 2 recent games against teams that usually play D. Add those 2 together + Oracle arena and I see a straight up shoot out. Not worried with 1 bad quarter because between these 2 teams... the over is never dead till its dead.
