in regards to people who think games are fixed
now i don't think games aren't at times fixed on some level or another.

but i saw something tonight that caught my attention.

at the end of the memphis/new orleans game, rudy gay scored a meaningless dunk as time expired to win by 4. now, memphis wasn't favored to win this game, so that had no bearing on the ats outcome.

but if memphis was favored by 3 (by some weird miracle, just play along) then everyone who had new orleans would be crying fix.

i'm just saying, weird shit happens sometimes, that's all. we should think about these things before we start "omg the fix was in" threads.

i'd say it's an excellent point. i didn't have a wager on the game, but i would have loved to have had the over. nothing like being on the right side of the proverbial fix. or the real fix, depends on what you believe.

                    ok wow.

did it screw anyone out of a 4th quarter team total or anything? seems like i'm getting jobbed out of the building on this one.

in my own philosophical words, perhaps a bad example is the best example.

many games are rigged. games involving conference leaders such as BOS vs CLE vs ORL mix & match them on primetime seem to be. public tend to lose alot in those games. also, most CONF FINALS & SEMIFINALS series games are rigged. and finally, during NBA Finals the best way to make money is fade Brandon Lang.

right i agree with what you're saying shafted, i was commenting on the overuse of the "fix" cry. but shit, i guess this game could have had one in too.

There was nothing suss about this, the guy got a fast break and had an open basket. Why wouldn't he dunk it as the clock expires?

watching that dunk made me replay luol deng last week in my head LOL...watching that game, the whole under 2 mins was just all around weird...Randolph hitting a fadeaway bank moon shot from the top of the key and of course posey at the end of the game haha...i was on the hornets -2 so it was pretty disappointing to see them blow a 9 pt lead with 5 mins left but how they did it was classic, did neone catch the one play where stojackovic was sitting on his butt at half court haha

If you make a bet that comes down to the last basket, it was probably a bad bet and either a lucky win or unlucky loss.
